☀️ A Summer I’ll Never Be Ready to Let Go Of ☀️

This summer has been everything my heart didn’t know it needed. And honestly I never want it to end.

Every day with my three children has been filled with laughter, messy adventures, warm hugs, late-night talks, and the kind of joy that can only be found in simply being together. Somewhere between the beach days, backyard memories, pool party days with friends, Wednesday water adventures, and quiet moments at home, I’ve realized that these are the days shaping their hearts—and mine. School will teach them facts, skills, and knowledge. Home teaches them who they are, how they deserve to be loved, and how to love others well. Both matter, but I cherish these uninterrupted summer days because they remind me that the little moments often become the biggest lessons. “A mother’s love is the first home a child ever knows. And a child’s love is the greatest reminder to a mother of who she wants to become.” ☀️

The quiet hugs that speak louder than words could. Watching the bond you share with our children reminds me that it’s in moments like these that we realize what truly matters. Through every season of life, we find our way back to each other, stronger, more grateful, and more in love with the life we’re building together.

Arlie MacDonald Thank you for being the father our children look up to and the husband who gives his all for this family. We love you more than words can say. ❤️

When you open your mouth to judge a mother, bite your tongue first.
Pregnancy hurts.
Birth hurts.
Breastfeeding hurts.
Middle of the night bottle making hurts.
Hearing your baby cry hurts.
Not sleeping hurts.
Making sure you do everything possible to be sure they sleep safe & sound hurts.
Serving everyone and being last hurts.
Disciplining them to ensure they grow into kind patient respectful adults hurts.
Not having time for yourself hurts.
Making sure everyone is safe hurts.
Keeping everyone fed hurts.
Being hit in the face with the tantrums/troubled times & exhaling through them hurts.
When the child(ren) is sick or has something wrong and you can’t cure/heal/fix immediately hurts.
Keeping up with their development milestones, regress, progress, success hurts.
Not meeting their every need at the exact moment they want it met hurts.
Ensuring each child feels special hurts.
Protecting them hurts.
Letting them fall down and not rushing to swoop them up because they have to learn how to get back up hurts.
Crying into a pillow amongst the chaos and having to hold it all together for the little ones you created from scratch hurts.

And loving them so hard it hurts.

The mother needs help, not to be criticized,
she needs love and not to be judged,
she takes care of everyone, but she needs to take care of herself as well.

Motherhood is not as gentle as it seems, motherhood is beautiful, yes, but it is very difficult.

What’s beautiful is the love that a mother has for her child(ren), that love is capable of enduring everything!! ️

This post is to honour my role in my childrens’ lives.
This post is to honour any and all mothers who needed a read to relate to post today. And if your role hurts… you’re always welcome here to heal. *toutoflife
