Huge shout out to our very own Tobias Buffam on a month of golf that many could only dream of!

Earlier in July, Tobias won the Alberta Golf Men’s Amateur Championship by 7 shots - a historic accomplishment in its own right.

This victory qualified him for the Golf Canada Canadian Men’s Amateur Championship, where he arrived as one of the players to watch, as a contender in the field of 264 of the best players in Canada. This event wrapped up yesterday at Mickelson National Golf Club with Tobias playing in the final group and finishing in a runner-up 2nd place at an amazing 14 under par over 4 rounds, with his dad Matt on the bag caddying, and many family, friends, and VR members following along on the golf course.

So many golf fans found out what we already knew in the Valley Ridge community; he is an incredible player and an outstanding person - we are are incredibly proud to have him as part of our club, grateful for the way he represents Valley Ridge each time he competes, and look forward to continue following his journey in golf!

Another Trans-Canada Cup is in the books and Valley Ridge successfully defended the title with a 19-17 win over The Winston!
