It’s almost time!

The 2026 Senior Men’s Baseball Nationals kick off later this week in Chatham, NB as we look to defend our title as National Champions.

Here’s a look at our round robin schedule.

The Islanders players were able to deal with and deflect all of the adversity that was thrown their way. Injuries, hectic travel arrangements, unpredictable weather, great competition and more as they would go on to do something that no other team in PEI history has done.

Follow your Islanders this week at 2026 Baseball Canada Men's National Championship as we try and repeat as Champions against a very strong field of teams from coast to coast in beautiful Miramichi, NB.

After some up and down seasons during their first 5 years in the NBSBL, the Islanders players would come of age in the 2015 season. After finishing in a tie for 3rd place with a 17-15 regular season record, the Islanders would send 9 players to the Nationals that year representing both the Fredericton Royals and the Chatham Ironmen in Miramichi.

The Islanders would square off against a very strong Chatham Ironmen roster in the semi-finals as they would take down the Ironmen in 5 games. In the finals, the Islanders would take on the Fredericton Royals with first pick at the 2016 Nationals and NBSBL supremacy on the line. The Islanders first appearance in the finals would get off to a good start as they would take the first two games of the series. But the veteran Royals lineup would claw back with 3 straight wins to put the Isles on the brink of elimination at their home field.

After taking the lead and getting off to a quick start on rookie Tyson Blue, Blue would settle in and give the Isles bats a chance at a come back. In the 6th inning, the Islanders would score 2-runs off of a Sean Corcoran base hit to take the lead and secure the game 6 win. In game 7, Jordan Stevenson was gifted a 4-0 lead after a Dillon Doucette grand slam in the top of the first inning. Stevenson would keep the Royals potent lineup at bay as Stevenson would get the fly out to center field in the 7th inning to give PEI it's first ever NBSBL title.

We look forward to concluding this segment next Monday as we unveil our #1 moment in Islanders history. Any guesses on what it might be?

Announcing our pickups for the 2026 Senior Men’s Nationals in Chatham NB!

We’re pleased to welcome Justin Cormier, Haden Dow, Max Grant and Cam Stewart to our roster for the tournament.

And that wraps up the NBSBL regular season.

The Isles will take on the Fredericton Royals in the semi-final round of the playoffs.

Schedule will be posted whenever it is made.

We’re back at home as we host the Fredericton Royals for Minor Baseball Day on PEI.

Game time is 2pm from Memorial Field.
