Chestermere's premier sailing facility since 1933 In 1933, an avid group of sailors incorporated what is today the best sailing facility in southern Alberta.
Nestled between the prairies and the Rocky Mountains you will find the Calgary Yacht Club, located on the east side of Chestermere Lake. The Club has grown to it's present size from a small core group of enthusiasts, some of whom were among the first to build on the lakefront.

Have you ever wanted to learn how to sail?
The Calgary Yacht Club is offering a weekend course for adults that want to learn how to sail.
Friday- 6-9pm, Saturday 9am-5pm, and Sunday 9am-5pm. Register at calgaryyachtclub.wildapricot.org

Did you know that the Calgary Yacht Club in Chestermere has summer camps and we still have some spots available. You can sign up your kids to learn how to sail or register them in our watersport week.

Time to meet the self proclaimed “big boss” of the yacht club Nathan
Hello everybody! I’m so excited to step into the the role of head coach this year, we have such an amazing coaching team this year and I am so happy to be working with them. If you are learning to sail this year I am excited to get to know all of you. I had the privilege this past winter to coach out of the Royal Victoria yacht club and I’m excited to share what I’ve learned and the passion that I have for the sport!
