I used to look at food almost entirely through the lens of calories - how many does this have, and how can I keep that number as low as possible? THAT was what made food feel restrictive for me.

Tracking macros changed the focus. Instead of just eating less, I started paying attention to whether I was actually getting enough protein, carbs + fats, while still having room for dessert, meals out, and foods I love.

That’s what gave me flexibility and helped pull me out of the all-or-nothing cycle. One food doesn’t ruin the day when you’re looking at the bigger picture 🤎

Let’s stop overcomplicating nutrition, k?? 🤎

While building all these meals, I have a few things in mind:

- what protein source am I building this around?
- what carb am I adding? *we need more than you think - add a little fat to keep it balanced & increase satiation
- fiber!!! Where’s the colour? 🫐🍓🍎

Here’s a few of my favourites!! Save for the next time you need a lil inspo ✨

This has happened to all of us, am I right?!

You know the workout is going to make you feel better, you know you’ll be glad you did it, but in that moment your brain is still telling you to stay comfortable, sit on the couch, do it tomorrow.

I’ve had so many days where I didn’t feel like training, and the easy option would have been to skip it. But when I push myself to do it anyway, I always walk away feeling like I just raised my own capacity a little bit. I handled the discomfort. I did something I didn’t really want to do, and I was completely fine.

The more often you push yourself through those small moments of discomfort, the more you realize you can actually handle. Your capacity expands. Things that used to feel hard don’t feel quite as hard anymore because you’ve already shown yourself that you can do them.

You can do hard things, sometimes you just need a little more proof 🤎

Sunday checklist coming in hotttt 🔥

I used to get the Sunday scaries EVERY week because I would always feel so ill-prepared. Running around like a chicken with its head cut off Monday morning because I didn’t take a little time the day before to regroup.

📌save this for your Sunday, you’ll be happy you did

it never was about the chips

it was the mindset you have around the chips because now it feels like you’re “off track”

so you flattened the entire bag because fk it why not??

the all-or-nothing mindset is what keeps you stuck - the inability to enjoy something without turning it into a full send

can we just enjoy some & move on?! 🤎

Cash is the real reason I’m out here 🐾❤️

Some of the biggest mistakes I’ve made in my own body recomp journey weren’t obvious. I was training consistently, but I wasn’t eating enough to actually fuel my body. I was lifting, but not pushing hard enough to give my muscles a reason to grow.

I underestimated how much the little things mattered too - my steps, walks, sleep and what my weekends looked like. Because no, one meal won’t ruin your progress…. but letting loose every weekend and starting over every Monday will keep you in the exact same place

The workouts matter - but so do the other 23 hours of your day 🤎🤎

That’s kinda the whole point???

If your goal is body recomposition (lose body fat while gaining muscle mass), your workouts can’t just be about going through the motions

You need enough intensity to actually give your body a reason to change ⚡️

That means pushing the weight. Getting close to failure. Progressively getting stronger and having a few sets where you finish and genuinely question your life choices 😂

You don’t need to destroy yourself every workout but you DO need to challenge yourself
