Cornwall Lions U12 Boys Capture EOBA Gold After Undefeated Playoff Run

Thank you to everyone who came out to support our Champions!!!!
The U19 AAA boys went undefeated this weekend in the EOBA end of season tournament. The boys started off strong against Kemptville Elite 96-55. The boys then played the very game OSBA squad in a hard fought 111-100 victory moving on to Sunday where they met the West Ottawa AAA Hornets where they put themselves firmly in the gold medal game with a 90-72 win.

The championship game was a spectacle of back and forth basketball fitting for a championship game forcing an overtime to determine the winner. The lions played with heart and determination winning 96-91 to solidify the championship.

Congratulations to our very own, Daylin Logan, for taking home the “Cornwall United Counties Basketball Association Senior Male Athlete of the Year” award on Wednesday night at the Cornwall Lions Club sports awards banquet. Daylin starred at point guard for the Senior Raiders over the past two seasons and captained the squad this year. Overall, Daylin helped lead the Raiders to an impressive 31-8 record during his time with the team. Congratulations on this tremendous achievement, Daylin!

A special thanks goes out to the Cornwall Lions Club for continuing to celebrate athletic achievement in our community and putting on this great annual banquet.
