Join us in welcoming Melissa Millar as our new Health & Fitness Coordinator!

Melissa brings over 25 years of experience as a trainer, instructor, and leader in the fitness and wellness field - including roles at MSVU, the YMCA, and her own fitness business. She’s passionate about building supportive, inclusive spaces where people feel confident and motivated.

She officially joins us on August 27, and we’re so excited for the energy, expertise, and heart she’ll bring to our community!

👉🏼 Registration opens Wednesday, August 26 at 9am on our Xplor platform. Check out the guide on our website and find the programs that are perfect for you!

We’re excited to share that Monday evenings now have Aqua Fit! Starting Monday, August 17, we’ll be offering two Aqua Fit classes every Monday:

• 11:05am – 12:05pm

• 7:30pm – 8:30pm (new!)

Both classes are drop‑in, do not require pre-registration, and are included in your membership! Non-members can purchase a day pass or punch pass to attend!

Meco is back for another summer at camp! If you’ve been around the Sportsplex this summer, you may have already caught him joining in on the fun with our campers.

He’s part of the crew helping keep camp days active, upbeat, and full of laughs. We’re glad to have him back for another summer!

Brooke is one of the familiar faces keeping things moving at camp this summer! This is her fourth summer with us, so she already knows a thing or two about making camp days fun.

Meet Jihee! You may have already spotted Jihee around camp this summer! She’s spending her first summer with the Sportsplex camp team and has been keeping busy making sure our campers are having a great time.

Join Our Aquatics Team!

We’re hiring two full‑time, permanent positions in our aquatics department: Aquatic Program Supervisor and Head Lifeguard.

These roles support the daily operations of our pools, help lead staff, and contribute to safe, welcoming, community‑focused programming for all ages. We’re looking for energetic leaders who are passionate about recreation, great with people, and certified in National Lifeguard and Swim Instruction.

A quick Childminding hours update for summer!

We’ve seen lower participation in Childminding over the past few weeks, so we’ll be adjusting our hours for the rest of the summer. This ensures we’re using our resources responsibly while still offering care during our busiest times.
