WHAT SHOULD I BRING TO MY FIRST CLASS AND DO I NEED PRIOR EXPERIENCE WITH MUAY THAI?

• No prior experience is necessary, our instructors will be able to guide you regardless of skill level or physical capability. We recommend you bring loose fitting clothing that is easy to move in, and gloves if you have them. WHY SHOULD I PRACTICE MUAY THAI?

• Increased cardiovascular and muscular health

• Stronger Mind-Body Connection

• Increased levels of focus

• Stress relief and management

• Increased levels of confidence and understanding

• Countless other benefits



I DON’T WANT TO COMPETE, SHOULD I STILL TRAIN?

• Yes of course, while fighting is a traditional part of Muay Thai, people today can still reap benefits strictly from the training. AM I GOING TO GET INJURED IF I PRACTICE MUAY THAI?

• While any physical activity has a risk of injury, when practiced both safely and skillfully, the risk is mitigated. Our instructors are both incredibly experienced and knowledgeable, and it is in our best interest that students remain injury free. With this in mind we actively work to develop an environment with low risk of injury. DO I NEED TO BE PHYSICALLY FIT TO PRACTICE MUAY THAI?

• No, individuals of any level of fitness are able to practice Muay Thai. To compete, a certain level of fitness is required, but that will be found in the practice. WILL MUAY THAI HELP GET ME IN SHAPE?

• Cardiovascular and muscular health are very important to Muay Thai. Students will also develop a larger range of motion and a stronger mind body connection. Pairing Muay Thai with a responsible diet will definitely help any individual get in shape.

At World Class Muay Thai, kids don’t just learn Muay Thai — they build character.

This summer, Grey was awarded our Virtue Champion Belt for Consistency — recognizing the effort he put into showing up, sticking with it, and continuing to grow. We’re so proud of him! 🏆💙

That’s what we love about watching our kids train. Along the way, they’re learning respect, discipline, perseverance, confidence, self-control, and how to keep going when something feels hard.

Our Kids Program is for ages 4–13 and gives Cowichan Valley kids a fun, structured, and encouraging place to grow — both in the gym and beyond.

Artur Nowacki had the privilege of catching up with Muay Thai legend Saenchai Muaythaigym at his gym Saenchai Deena Gym - an inspiring way to close out an unforgettable journey.

From world-class training and competition to learning from the legends who shaped the art, this trip has been about far more than medals. It’s been about honouring the roots of Muay Thai, building lifelong memories, and bringing that knowledge and inspiration home to our WCM family.

An incredible evening at RWS 200 inside the legendary Rajadamnern Stadium.

Charley, Oscar, and Rickson had the opportunity to watch world-class Muay Thai and meet two of the sport’s elite—Koki Osaki of Japan and reigning Rajadamnern Champion Jigsaw SitThailand. 👊

Moments like these inspire and remind us what’s possible through hard work, commitment, and a love for Muay Thai.

Today Charley finished his journey at the WBC World Championships, losing to a very good opponent from Ireland.

Charley was nervous, and that’s completely normal. It was only his third ever fight, and he was facing one of the best young fighters in the world.

I’m very proud of him. He worked incredibly hard to prepare for this opportunity and conducted himself with maturity from the first day until the last. He trained hard, stayed humble, respectful and courageous all the way through.

Robert, Charley’s teammate, also played a big part in Charley’s preparation. They spent many rounds together getting ready for this challenge, pushing each other every day. The whole team contributed, and that’s what makes these experiences so special.

It was also great to have Charley’s parents here to share this journey with him. They made the long trip to support him, and I know how much that meant. Having Oscar, his brother with the team made the experience even better. It was very special to have my son Rickson in the corner with us... These championships are about much more than the fights. They’re about sharing the journey together.

Charley has a huge heart, and I’m grateful to coach kids like him. Experiences like this are priceless and will help him grow not only as a fighter, but as a young man.

Thank you to everyone who supported us and helped us get here. It really means a lot. Without your support we wouldn’t have had this opportunity or learned these lessons.

A little side story... Charley’s opponent came from the very first gym where I ever took a Muay Thai class in Cork, Ireland. His coach was actually running that class. It was nice to see him again after all these years. It’s a great gym that has produced many excellent fighters, so it was a special full circle moment to meet them again here on the world stage.

The journey continues. Courage. Humility. Discipline.

Another great day of training at ค่ายมวย จิตรเมืองนนท์.

Charley and Oscar have been welcomed like family here and have quickly become two of the gym’s favourite visitors. 😁

They’re soaking up every moment—training alongside top fighters, learning from world-class coaches, and experiencing the true roots of Muay Thai.

One of today’s highlights was Charley spending time with stadium champion Nuenglanlek Jitmuangnon. An incredible opportunity just days before the World Championships.
