E-Ville Roller Derby

E-Ville Roller Derby will not be participating in Pride this year.

We stand in solidarity with the many individuals and organizations that have chosen to withdraw from this years Pride events due to concerns about the increased presence of the Edmonton Police Service and the lack of communication and transparency surrounding that decision.

As a league, we support trans rights and believe that Pride should be a space where all members of the 2SLGBTQIA+ community feel safe, welcomed, and heard. We recognize that increased police presence can have a significant impact on how some community members experience Pride, particularly those who have historically faced discrimination, surveillance, or harm through policing systems.

While we remain proud supporters of the 2SLGBTQIA+ community, we have chosen not to participate this year in alignment with those raising these concerns. We remain committed to fostering inclusion, advocating for trans rights, and supporting our community both on and off the track.
