👻 Recreation Destination Resurrection of the Century! 💀

Extra! Extra! A Fort Frances tradition is rising from the grave!

Have you recovered from Ribfest yet? Perfect… because our next big event is creeping closer.

Grab your ghoulish friends, dust off your dancing shoes, and come shake your bones on the dance floor.

Inspired by a Fort Frances newspaper article published in 1921, we are resurrecting the Ghost Social more than a century later.

For one night only, the auditorium will be transformed into a haunted throwback social filled with music, dancing, eerie atmosphere, local history, and Halloween fun.

Best of all, this event is a fundraiser in support of the Fort Frances Museum, helping preserve the stories and history of our community.

Just a friendly reminder about our Toonie Swims.

Our Toonie Swims are designed as an affordable public swim for everyone to enjoy.

Birthday parties require extra planning and staffing to ensure we can safely accommodate the group. If a birthday party arrives during a Toonie Swim, we may not be able to accommodate everyone due to lifeguard-to-swimmer ratios and pool capacity.

Planning a birthday celebration? Please book in advance so we can make sure the appropriate space and staffing are available for your group.

We kindly ask that birthday parties not be brought to Toonie Swims.

ELEVATOR LIFT UPDATE

We’re pleased to share that installation of the new elevator lift at the Fort Frances Memorial Sports Centre has now been completed by Otis!

The next step is an inspection by the Technical Standards and Safety Authority (TSSA). The lift will remain out of service until the inspection is completed and final approval is received.

The TSSA has been contacted by Otis that the lift is ready for inspection and certification.

We appreciate everyone’s patience as we work through this final step and look forward to having the new lift available for use soon.
