National Lifeguard Re-Certification Course

Keep your lifeguarding certification up to date! The Memorial Sports Centre is offering a National Lifeguard Re-Certification course on August 20, 2026, from 1:00–6:00 PM.

Fee eligible for reimbursement upon employment with the Town of Fort Frances!

Must hold a current National Lifeguard (NL) certification. Candidates certified through Red Cross must complete the full National Lifeguard course.

Another great week of summer camp!

This week we swam in the pool, had a visit from the Métis Nation of Ontario’s Summer Youth Program, went to the pop up play area om the 52 Ice Surface, watched a movie, did some yoga followed by some time with Stew the bunny, and enjoyed the Emo Spray Park!

Our book nook is in full swing thanks to some incredible donations from the public! The campers now have the opportunity to sit and enjoy a book on the rug and cozy up on one of the floor cushions.

Thank you to the Métis Nation of Ontario’s Summer Youth Program who ran a great workshop with the campers, filled with games and crafts! It was greatly appreciated by all campers and staff!

Thank you to the coaches at the Pop Up Playground for giving us an incredible session for our campers. They had an absolute blast playing on all of the structures and with all the cool things you had to offer. Thank you for also putting on a great game for them to play, getting not only the campers involved but our leaders as well! Hope to see you again!
