Hey everyone,
I won’t really be posting on this account anymore and all newer content will now be posted on my new business page Second Life Coaching on instagram or you can search Second Life Coaching in Guelph on Facebook.
I’ve been working on this business for a bit now and have renewed my Dementia education certification, as well as, added life coaching as a service I now offer.
Anyone can take advantage of the life coaching aspect if they are looking to create long lasting change in their life, especially if they are having trouble with time management, communication, goal setting and accountability, relationships, etc.
With the Dementia education and life coaching, it’s a mixture of Dementia education and support for those living with Dementia, their families and partners in care. It comes in the form of knowledge sharing, discussion and developing strategies and mindset changes to improve relationships and personal care.
With knowledge and experience acquired while working closely with residents living with Dementia for almost 7 years and facilitating a Dementia education program during that time, the aim is to help create better awareness. This will help to break through stigmas and barriers to change mindsets and create better relationships with more compassionate care.
This is more than just about understanding those living with Dementia: it’s about understanding ourselves and how our views and beliefs affect what we think, feel and, in turn, what we do.

Feeling like each body part has it’s own age?
You’re not alone!
Our body only feels as good as we treat it.
For example, when an injury occurs and we don’t take care of it properly it can come back to haunt us later on in life.
Or if we ignore a pain, it doesn’t get better and the issue progresses over time. This can also cause other issues to come up in other areas of the body as well when there is compensation in movement.

I offer a 6 week trial for all new clients so you get an idea of whether you like working with me, if more or less sessions are needed a week and if a shorter or longer term program is required to meet your goals.
Pricing depends on how many days a week you’re looking for and whether it’s just for you or you’re looking for partner/group pricing for 2-3 people.

Whether it’s making healthier food choices, developing physical activity habits or what not we can either make these things a priority, or we can make excuses.
Excuses do not equal results and they can stop us from setting a plan in motion for reaching our goals.
Asking ourselves why we are making excuses for something may help in understanding what is really stopping us from moving forward. Then we can address what is stopping us and begin to move in the right direction towards our health goals.

It’s great to “look healthy”, but how does that translate to real life situations?
Does it help with getting up off the floor if we fall down, knowing how to land if we do fall or having good reaction time to catch ourselves or land more safely?
What about getting up and down stairs without feeling so out of breath or like our legs are screaming at us?
How about being able to enjoy a walk or hike on uneven ground?
What do we want or need our body to do other than to look a certain way? That should be the main question and the answers can help us figure out what our goals are.
Physical fitness is about more than how we look, it’s about how we move and how we feel. So why follow a program that is one dimensional in its components and only fulfills the idea of looking good, but doesn’t transfer over into anything else?

There’s no better time than the present to take the first step towards your goal.
Ask yourself:
If I start today, how much closer to my goal will I be 3 months from now? 6 months? A year?
Would I rather look back with gratitude for the steps that I took and the progress that I’ve made or with regret of waiting for tomorrow, next week, next month and so on?
