St. Margaret Sailing Club Needs a Summer Club Attendant
St. Margaret Sailing Club would like to hire a Seasonal Club Attendant. This position is supported by the Canada Summer Jobs Program so it is limited to those 30 years of age or younger.
The Seasonal Club Attendant has an important mix of indoor and outdoor member-facing duties. The attendant is responsible for ensuring the club’s buildings and grounds are welcoming for club members and guests, and rental clients, during SMSC’s peak season. The Attendant provides barista and bartender services to members and their guests, and to rental clients, during set hours. (Serve-Right Certification required)
Additionally, suitably qualified candidates could operate club power boats to offer occasional tender service to visiting yachts and respond to VHF radio calls, but member-facing activities (hospitality) are primary duties.
Base 35 hrs/week. Wednesday through Sunday workweek. Opportunity for extra hours in support of facility rentals.
$19/hr + 4% vacation pay + controlled tips from bartending/barista work.

Need a Place to Keep Your Boat on the Bay?
Are you looking for a marina slip or a mooring on St. Margaret’s Bay? Would a side serving of a clubhouse, a social program and sailing camps for kids be even better?
St. Margaret Sailing Club has both vacant slips and moorings available this summer. Of course, you would need to join the club, but membership brings more than just marina or mooring access. Think about joining a community, not just having a place to keep your boat.
What does it cost?
· A full membership costs $720 for your family, plus a one-time initiation fee of $500
· Mooring rentals are $615 per season, up to 15,000lbs displacement; $800 for 15,000 to 25,000lbs displacement
· Marina slip rentals vary by boat size, from $1,679 per season for a 20-footer to $3,839 for a 50-footer, power and water included Visit us at www.smsc.ca for more details.
