We are very fortunate to have ESPEN MATHIESEN | Jiu Jitsu 🇳🇴 come here and spend so much time with us. He is a world class competitor and great instructor.

We hope a lot of you can take advantage of these classes and there is no charge to any member of Halifax BJJ, totally free for members.

We hope everyone is having a great holiday weekend.

Huge thanks to our team that was able to keep the gym open all weekend.

Kids Team 12 and up, come train during the noon class if you’d like some extra training.

It was so cool to see our team have a lot of competitors. We had kids and adults doing their first-ever comps. We have seasoned coaches competing, and everything in between.

Congratulations to anyone and everyone who competes. Win or lose, it takes a ton of courage to put yourself out there in front of everyone. Be proud of the accomplishment, even if you don’t get the desired result.
Every team member, parent, and coach contributes to a gym’s success, and we’ve got an amazing support group from top to bottom. We are very thankful for that.

We are very excited to host , one of the cofounders and coaches of our affiliation team !

Espen is one of the best lightweights in the world, an incredible instructor and a great human.

He will be at the gym during the week and running some of our regular classes.

This will be free for Halifax BJJ members.

$20 a session for affiliates. $40 a session for non affiliations.

Next weekend we have here in Halifax. If you’re not competing, try to go and cheer on the team. It’s always a busy, but fun day for the BJJ community!

We are excited to host a kids March Break Camp!

It will run from the Monday to Friday. 8:30am-9:00am drop off time, and pick up time at 4:30pm.

We will have a BJJ class in the morning and one in the afternoon, along with lots of other activities to keep the kids busy, while having fun.

We will ask that the kids bring a Gi and No Gi set each day, and a lunch Monday to Thursday. On Friday we will provide pizza for lunch!

We have limited spots available. We will open this up to Halifax BJJ members first, and then if space remains we will open it up.

The kids must have experience in BJJ.
