Halifax Hurricanes Ringette U14 T1 Cameron

Our U14T1 athletes and coaches took the ice for one last team photo Monday night at the Civic Arena to officially mark the end of the 2025/26 Central Region Ringette League - Nova Scotia season.

It was a season filled with highs and lows, and challenges and opportunities. Our athletes worked tirelessly on and off the ice, committing to the many practices, exhibition and league games, dryland and sport psychology sessions, and team building activities that comprised a very busy ringette season.

And inch by inch, skate stride by skate stride, a slow and steady connection grew. The team showed grit, determination, and an honest willingness to learn. Coach Darryl and our assistant and junior coaches guided our athletes to Be Better every step of the way.

As we close this chapter, there are many people to thank.

💜First, to our athletes. You showed passion, courage in the face of difficulty, and personal and collective growth this season. Please know how proud we are of you!

💛To our coaching staff. Darryl, Leah, Kamryn, Josie, Paige. Thank you for your time, energy, and honest desire to impact the lives of young athletes. These are memories and relationships our athletes will value forever.

💜To our team managers. Josh, Andrea: Thank you for keeping us organized and on track, for generating new opportunities for the team, and for sprinkling in some inspiration along the way. It can be like herding cats (🤣) but you somehow managed to get everyone from point A to Z.

💛To our parents/guardians/families. Whether driving to/from games and practices, taking on minor official duties, fundraising, assisting with team building activities, or cheering loudly in the stands, thank you for supporting your athletes and fostering a healthy environment.

💜To the on-ice officials, rink staff and volunteers: thank you for enabling our athletes to do what they love.

💛To our 2025/26 team sponsors. Your financial and in-kind contributions are deeply appreciated and we commend you for championing youth in sport.

💜To our fierce competitors including Harbour City Lakers, Nova Central, and numerous teams we encountered from New Brunswick and PEI during tournaments and exhibition games. Thank you for pushing our team to be the best it can be and for showing what this incredible sport has to offer. Best of luck to Harbour City and Nova Central at Easterns!

💛To Corey at CrossFit Basinview and to Danielle Poulos. Thank you for developing strong minds and bodies off the ice.

💜Last but not least, to all other quiet supporters. No matter how and when you have showed up for our team, we appreciate you.

Youth sport doesn’t just happen. It takes the action, presence, and support of many. So thank you, sincerely, for making this season possible.

It’s hard to believe that a whole season has passed and we are heading into our final game of provincials.

Our U14 Tier 1 Hurricanes kick off Ringette Nova Scotia Provincials tonight, February 25, 6 p.m at the Sackville Sports Stadium Arena as they take on the Harbour City Lakers.
