Fall is coming fast in KW. Here's a quick checklist to help protect your home before the cold arrives:

- Eavestroughs cleaned and flushed
- Eavestroughs inspected for damage or sagging
- Leaves cleared from yard and gardens
- Outdoor taps shut off and drained
- Weatherstripping on doors checked or replaced
- Window and door frames caulked
- Deck and fence boards checked for anything loose
- Dryer vent cleared
- Smoke and CO detector batteries swapped

A lot of homeowners put these off until there's already a problem. A little attention in October saves a lot of grief in January.

We arrived in Monolpoli this afternoon after driving across Italy from Sorrento. About 5 hours with lunch stop. Nice place so far. Girls are heading to Materra tommorrow to see the oldest cave city.
