Brian Egona competed in his first B Class match at Cold War VII. It was a very evenly contested matchup, with both athletes looking to showcase the skills and improvements they had been working on throughout their training camps.
Each round was a back-and-forth battle, with both fighters trading exchanges and neither willing to give an inch. It was a closely contested fight from start to finish, with Brian earning the split decision win.
It was a great night of fights, and Brian showed a lot of the skills and improvements we’ve been working on in the gym. We’re looking forward to getting back to work and preparing for the next one.
Thank you to Cold War for having us and putting on another great show.

WBC World Muay Thai Tournament
Eric and Zeid represented TKO Fighting Arts, and Team Canada on the world stage in Thailand at the WBC World Muay Thai Tournament. Both stepped into tough matchups that came down to razor-close split decisions.
Eric showed strong composure and heart in a tactical, range-heavy bout. He adapted well, found his timing as the fight progressed, and landed meaningful shots in a competitive back-and-forth battle that ultimately went to a split decision. A valuable international experience against high-level opposition.
Zeid delivered a composed performance in a tightly contested fight against last year’s WBC tournament champion. He stayed technical, had success with his boxing and striking adjustments, and showed clear growth under pressure. The bout also ended in a split decision, reflecting just how close and competitive it was from start to finish.
Both athletes gained major experience competing internationally for the first time on a world stage in Thailand. While the results didn’t go their way, they showed clear progress, adaptability, and the kind of mindset that builds high-level fighters.

It’s hard to believe that we’re needing to say goodbye to Justin.
After almost 2 decades at TKO, Justin is leaving to start an exciting new chapter in his life.
Over the years, Justin has done just about everything at TKO. He’s trained, fought, coached, competed, taught classes, and for many years has been the familiar face leading Monday nights. More than any title or role, Justin has simply been one of those people who helped shape what TKO is and what it has become.
If you know Justin, you know exactly what we mean. He’s charismatic, funny, welcoming, and the kind of person who can make anyone feel like they belong. Whether you’ve known him for years or just crossed paths with him, chances are you’ve got a Justin story or a moment where he made you laugh or feel at home. His presence, energy, and personality have left a mark on countless members, students, fighters, and friends over the years.
While it’s hard to see him go, we’re excited to see him take this next step. Calgary is gaining a great one.
Thank you for everything you’ve given to TKO over the years. You’ll always be part of this gym, and you’ll always have a home here.
We’re going to miss you, brother.
