After many years doing this on my own, I’ve come to a quiet truth: I can’t start horses alone anymore. My heart is still 100% in it, but my body is asking for a partner.
With a recent injury (not from c**t starting at all, but doing something I’ve done for the last 17 years of my life) and finding out that this will be longer and more permanent than my knee has already been, I’m looking for a second person.
Someone with the same values I do — respect for the horse, respect for the work, and respect for showing up. Looking for someone who shares the same values, treats the barn like the responsibility it is, and shows up when it matters. The horses deserve that consistency.
