It's Fat Bear Week! Wondering how Coola is doing? 🐻

He is happy, healthy, and beary hungry, and the Wildlife team has upped his diet. Coola is eating very well, including an increase in protein 🐟, and he's already put on 50lbs in preparation for his winter dormancy!

He is staying busy with his regular routine of sunshine naps, playing in the pond, and just starting to think about the upcoming long snooze through the colder months. 💤

As Grouse Mountain celebrates its 100 year anniversary, we’re revisiting the stories, local legends, and major milestones that have shaped the last century at The Peak of Vancouver.��Episode 03: A Bear’s Legacy �In 2001, Grouse Mountain became home to grizzly bears Grinder and Coola when they were found orphaned due to separate incidents. Over the past 25 years, the pair became two of the Resort’s most popular residents while inspiring conservation, education, and connection.
