It is with incredibly heavy hearts that we share the devastating news of the passing of one of our own.

Our hockey family has lost a beloved player, teammate, and friend. Rowen had a true love for the game — the kind of love you could see every time he stepped on the ice. Whether it was the excitement of game day, the laughter in the dressing room, or the determination he showed for his teammates, hockey was a huge part of who he was.

Our entire association and hockey family mourns alongside his family, friends, coaches, and teammates. The loss of someone so young and so loved is something no community is ever prepared for.

As a symbol of the hockey community standing together, many are leaving two hockey sticks and a jersey at their front doors to honour #2 — a quiet but powerful reminder that he will always be part of our team.

We encourage our hockey family and community to join us in showing support for his loved ones during this incredibly difficult time.

To his family: please know that your son will forever be a part of this hockey family. His spirit, his love of the game, and the memories he created with his teammates will live on in every rink, every game, and every player who laces up their skates.
