POST HYROX RACE DEBRIEF.
This one hurt. I went from 67:21 to 69:42. It’s hard not to feel like I’ve gone backwards, but I’m trying to view this as an opportunity for growth.
For whatever reason, I just couldn’t access or use the fitness I know I have. After the sled pull, I could hardly breathe and honestly wanted to quit badly, but I pushed through and finished.
I’m going to enjoy the rest of this weekend, reflect, and figure out exactly what I need to improve in my daily habits to perform at my best on race day.
At the end of the day, I’m grateful I can still move my body and have the opportunity to compete. Growth comes from moments like this.
