May Dump: What a month.
Sometimes in life, you have to wait a very long time before you can sit in the shade of the tree you planted. May was a blessed month, and many long-term plans finally came to fruition.
I honestly feel lucky every day because my passion and my work are one and the same. It requires endless effort and constant attention, but it’s a privilege to be able to invest that energy into something I care deeply about.
Either by design or circumstance, many people haven’t found what they love to do yet.
If you have, I’m so happy for you.
If you haven’t, please go out and try something new!!
From powerlifting, to bodybuilding, to endurance training, I’m incredibly grateful for the variety of experiences that allow me to help others pursue such a wide range of goals.
May was another big month for Liberty Fitness. Lots of wins. Lots of lessons. And lots of new clients ready to begin their own journeys.
We’re ready for June. ☀️
Finding the right wetsuit has been one of the bigger challenges of preparing for IRONMAN Ottawa.
With my bodybuilding background, finding gear that fits properly isn’t always easy.
Thankfully, shopping at Bushtukah made the process simple. Great service, a huge selection, and a team that helped me find the right fit without any hassle.
Now it’s time to get some open water experience.
Big thanks to the Bushtukah team for all the help.
If you’re looking for gear for your next outdoor adventure, stop by Bushtukah and they’ll get you sorted. 🌊

📣 Client Spotlight: Daniel 📣
Same spot. Three months difference.
No filters. No special lighting. Just a plan followed (relatively) consistently. 😂
Daniel came to me wanting to unlock the physique he’d always wanted. Athletic. Muscular. Lean. Fast.
As an avid runner and longtime gym-goer, he already had a solid foundation. I knew that with some adjustments to his training intensity, form, volume, and nutrition, we could really make something special happen.
Daniel wanted his body to be a testament to the work he had invested. Because let’s be honest, there are a lot of people exercising every day without much to show for it.
And we did exactly what we set out to do.
For the first time in his life, Daniel’s physique reflects his fitness level. Clear abs. Visible muscle definition. The kind of look that doesn’t leave people wondering whether or not he actually lifts.
And straight up - the journey wasn’t perfect.
There were slip ups & challenges.
There were side quests: Including international marathons. 🇫🇷
But by following the plan as best he could, providing honest feedback, staying accountable, and making adjustments when needed, Daniel kept moving forward.
That’s all coaching really is.
A good plan, tight communication, and educated adjustments when things slip.
Very proud of you, brother! Excited to see what we can continue building.

Back when big was the mission.
Not like it isn’t the mission now...
Being a hybrid athlete means trying to balance the mastery of multiple disciplines simultaneously. I love this style of training because you get the benefits of strength, aesthetics, superior cardiovascular health, and overall endurance.
You can be built like a brick sh*****se and not be able to walk up a flight of stairs without being gassed.
You can run like the wind and not be able to bench or squat your bodyweight.
While hybrid training offers multiple blessings simultaneously, you also have to understand that there is a human limit to what can be achieved naturally.
Looking at these photos from my bodybuilding prime, I do feel a pull to want to best my previous self. However, I believe the benefits of being a well rounded athlete outweigh the perks of being really good at one thing.
What do you think?
Would you rather master a single discipline, or strive to become exceptional at several simultaneously?
Very stoked to be heading out to by on June 27th at Camp Fortune in Chelsea. 🌲☀️
Huge thanks to Vincent and the entire team for the invite and all the generosity.
Also wanna give a massive shoutout to for contributing a ton of the event prizing and helping support the local trail running community 🙏🏼
Safe to say I’m pretty excited to break in these new trail shoes from 👀
Not to mention the other goodies from:
Race in the front, party in the back. 🍻
See you on the trails.

We don’t negotiate with the weather. ☔️
What these photos show:
• Goal marathon time secured
• Physique maintained throughout training
What they don’t show:
• 5 months of long runs through ice and snow
• High intensity weight training sessions
• The same 5–6 meals every day (all good, I like them)
• The fuelling and pacing strategy that made it all possible
This year, I stepped away from the bodybuilding stage for the first time since 2024 to devote myself more fully to endurance training.
I’ve always loved both disciplines too much to choose between them. While you can pursue both simultaneously, in order to really move the needle in one direction, sometimes you need to give one its moment in the sun.
That’s what last weekend represented for me:
the culmination of years of running and a massive checkpoint in my journey as a hybrid athlete.
From the outset, my goal was to see how far I could push endurance performance without losing the physique I had worked years to build. Through very intentional training, nutrition, and recovery, I think we’ve managed that balance pretty well so far.
I push myself to new limits not just because I genuinely enjoy it, but because it deepens my understanding as a hybrid coach.
I don’t believe you should have to choose between the goal physique and the goal performance.

I wanna give a massive shoutout to my coaching clients who SHOWED UP this weekend at Ottawa Race Weekend. PR after PR. 🥂
Many of these athletes are hybrid athletes, meaning they’re balancing run training while simultaneously building strength and muscle in the gym.
That’s no easy task.
This weekend was the culmination of months and months of work. Early mornings. Long runs. Tough lifts. Missed comfort. Consistency when motivation wasn’t there.
Not just for myself, but for the athletes who trusted me week after week and showed up with intention to become better.
This one is for them.
I can’t overstate how much of a privilege it is to share my hard won experience and watch people discover what they’re capable of through movement.
Ottawa Race Weekend is over, but your development isn’t.
If you want to hit a new PR, improve your fitness, build your physique, or see what hybrid training can do for you, I’m only a DM away.
