Pro Div Debut - 1:14:56 69/283 Overall, Nice 👌🏻

What a rip! Extremely stoked on this first pro run, being only 4 mins back from my last open race in Miami a month ago is a huge win.

A lot of lessons learned to take back and work on like always. My leg muscular endurance needs a lot of work. The sleds were rough and the runs after them sucked. Running overall needs to improve but specifically coming out of the leg heavy stations.

Overall it was an amazing weekend! We handed out a bunch of samples, if you got some let me know how they went. Got to see and talk with a bunch of friends and athletes, and got to catch some of the top dawgs in the sport send it!

Thanks for a great weekend Ottawa, I hope everyone had a great time. Now it’s a big push for Toronto and Boston with some local races and other fun things in between!

Never stop competing or working to get better!

Wedding Day Dominican Style !

Yesterday the little bro got all grown up, got married and we added a new sister to the WackDougall Clan!

Beautiful ceremony in paradise and I couldn’t be more proud this man. It’s been so awesome to see the love Myriam has has given Liam and so happy he found such a great woman to take care of him.

Hyrox Miami! 🌴☀️

Miami was a trip, so great to get back out there after 1 1/2 years. Training definitely can’t compare to getting out in that racing environment. This is a gruelling sport and I found out what it feels like to just not have your day at all 🤣 I honestly don’t know what happened but right from the second run my legs were trashed. It could be a multiple of things such as not enough recovery, pushing too much during the taper, but in the end I just didn’t perform the way I feel I could have.

So many incredible athletes down there racing. A lot of good take aways though, my back end stations were all PRs which is huge and I was able to run 33 secs faster after lunges this time too. Most importantly I was only 50 secs off of a PR even though I was at the worst I felt in a race which I’m ok with.

In the end it was an amazing experience as always meeting new athletes talking with elites and getting in a race to shake the rust off to see where I need to improve.

5 weeks out from the A race in Ottawa where I will be stepping up to my first Pro run. Lots of work to do and things to improve as always, never stop working to improve on this journey. Thanks for a great time Miami and everyone I got to interact with!

FOCUSED 🔥

We have been building for a long time up to this one. Over a year since my last race, life happens but we are here and more focused than ever.

Focused on the movements, focused on the game plan and focused on the goal. This is a test that I’ve been getting ready for and I’m stoked to unleash.

1 Week Out 🌴 ☀️

This was a great workout, a 45 min AMRAP at RPE 5-6 was chill and very informative. Even in the last few rounds I was comfortably holding 1:45-1:50 on the machines which was surprising for take my time and focusing on form. It is sick to see that the time and effort put into these movements are paying off and hopefully will transition into race paces

Look, you can’t win the race on the ski and row BUT YOU CAN LOSE IT! This workout really put into perspective to just 1. Chill the start ease in and 2. Use the row to recover and come out on fire on the back end.

Try this one out, just keep rolling:
45 min AMRAP
1- 250m ski
2- 10 KB swings
3- 250m row
4- 10 KB goblet squats
5- 1k bike erg (none at my gym so kept rolling)

So stoked to feel the race atmosphere again, this sport is such a vibe and can’t wait to see what 1 1/2 years of training between races will do haha!

Hyrox Miami 11 Days Out 🌴 ☀️

Taper mode isn’t taking the foot off the gas, it’s sharpening the weapon.

Volume comes down. Intensity stays nasty.
No fluff. No junk. No “just happy to be there” energy. Everything right now is intentional. Every session has a purpose. Every move is built to have me ready to rip on race day.

Having in my corner the 1 on 1 coaching has the plan locked in, and the goal is simple:

PR. Sub-60. Podium if I get the chance to go take it.

Will some people think that’s aggressive?
GOOD. A lot of people set goals they know they can hit. That’s why they stay average. I’d rather chase something big enough to scare me than live in the comfort zone pretending I’m “being realistic.”

If your goals don’t sound a little insane to other people, they probably aren’t big enough. Nobody breaches limits by thinking small.

11 days. Stay sharp. Stay dangerous. Stay hungry. 1% better every day.

That’s it. That’s the formula.
Not motivation. Not excuses. Not “waiting for the right time.”

Discipline gets you moving when you don’t feel like it.
Consistency keeps you showing up when the hype is gone.
Focus stops you from getting distracted by things that have nothing to do with your goals.

You say you want more? Then act like it.
Stop quitting on yourself. Stop chasing shortcuts. Stop letting comfort steal the life you keep talking about building.

Your goals don’t care about your mood.
Show up. Put in the work. Repeat.
That’s how you win.
