We’re SUPER excited to welcome Eric Thompson to the Port Hope Panthers as our Game-Day & Community Coordinator!

When we talk about being a community hockey team, Eric is exactly the kind of person we want helping us build that connection.

Born and raised in Port Hope, and raising his own children here, Eric has spent decades giving back to the community he calls home.

From 25 years with the Port Hope Kinsmen, to coaching minor baseball and minor hockey, Eric has consistently stepped up, volunteered his time and invested in the people around him. His strong local roots continue through his work in the community, including six years with Lauria Hyundai and now Port Hope Hyundai.

Inspired by his community idol, Jeff Lees, Eric joins the Panthers with a pretty simple goal:
Bring Port Hope together around the Panthers and make this the community hockey team that Port Hope deserves.

That vision couldn't fit better with where we want this organization to go.

Eric brings energy, connections, ideas and, most importantly, a genuine love for this town. We can’t wait to see him help make Panthers game nights bigger, better and more connected to our community.

The Panthers are proud to welcome hometown forward #91 Riley Press to the lineup for the 2026/27 season!

A big power forward, Riley brings a strong physical presence and a willingness to compete every time he steps on the ice.

What has impressed us just as much is his dedication and commitment to getting better. He comes to the rink ready to work, ready to learn and always looking for ways to improve his game.

There’s something special about seeing a hometown kid earn the opportunity to represent Port Hope, and we’re excited to see Riley continue his development in a Panthers jersey.

The Panthers are excited to welcome our newest addition between the pipes, #30 Reese Deline! 🥅

Reese brings a calm, composed presence in the crease, with excellent tracking abilities and the ability to stay patient when the pressure is on.

Just as important is what he brings away from the crease: a great dressing room presence and the kind of teammate who will fit well with the group we’re building.

We’re excited to add Reese to our goaltending tandem and see him get to work in Port Hope.

Ben joins the Panthers in a trade with the Cumberland Castors in exchange for a PDF.
