IOCO RIDING AREA CLOSED — until further notice.

The Coastal Fire Centre has enacted an equipment and activities prohibition that includes Off-Road Vehicle use. It took effect at 12:00 noon on August 10 and stays in force until the order is rescinded. Our CPTA riding area at Ioco sits inside that zone, and portions of it are on Crown land named directly in the order.

That means no riding at Ioco until the prohibition is lifted. This applies to every trials bike — a spark off metal on rock is all it takes, and that's exactly the risk these conditions can't absorb.

We know how much you all want to ride. Staying off the trails right now keeps our communities safe and takes some pressure off the firefighters and first responders who are already stretched.

Thanks for respecting the closure and doing the right thing.
