Today, the HPL Kings were proud to come together for something bigger than hockey.

Both our 2014 and 2016 Kings hit the ice for the Garneau Cup, joining players from across our community who know, love, and care about the Garneau family. With U11 and U13 3-on-3 divisions, it was a day full of hockey, competition, laughs, and plenty of fun.

Off the ice, our community came together in an incredible way with raffles, a silent auction, door prizes, and so many generous donations, all helping support the Garneau family.

We are so proud of our Kings players, families, and everyone who showed up to make this day so special. Hockey is about so much more than the game. It is about community, friendship, and being there for each other when it matters most.

Today, we were proud to be part of the Garneau Cup. ❤️

The 2014 Kings spent some time off the ice today working together, giving back, and raising funds with a team bottle drive! 🏒♻️

A little hard work, a lot of laughs, and plenty of teamwork. It’s always better when we do it together. 💙👑❤️

Today, our 2016 Kings family came together for the Prince George Parkinson’s SuperWalk to support one of our own hockey dads who is living with Parkinson’s disease.

The PG community raised over $20,000 for Parkinson’s research, an amazing accomplishment and a powerful reminder of what we can do when we show up for one another.

We are so proud to be part of a community that shows up, gives back, and makes a difference. 🏒❤️

Alex was the heart of our hockey family.

Team manager. Photographer. Social media expert. Fundraising lead. Game streamer. And somehow, whenever there was a gap, Alex was there to fill it.

But the truth is, Alex’s impact went far beyond everything she did for our teams. She was the most outstanding hockey mom we have ever had the privilege of knowing. There was never an opportunity missed for Josie and Jackson—Alex was going to get them wherever they needed to be, support whatever they wanted to pursue, and make sure they had every chance to experience the things they loved. Her commitment to her children was unmatched.

In just a few short years, Alex gave more of herself to our hockey community than most people could accomplish in a lifetime. She gave her time, her energy, her talents, and most importantly, her heart.

We honestly don’t know how to do competitive hockey without Alex.

She was an extraordinary human being—kind, caring, selfless, thoughtful, and always looking for a way to help. She was a friend to everyone, and someone we all aspired to be like.

Alex set the bar incredibly high, not just as a hockey mom, but as a person.

We will miss her more than words can say. We will carry her with us in every rink, every game, every tournament, every photo, and every moment we show up for our kids, and hers.

Thank you, Alex, for everything you gave to our hockey family. We were so incredibly lucky to know you. ❤️🏒
