Improving your course management is the easiest way to shave strokes off your rounds. Here are three ways you can improve your scoring:

1. Plot your way around the course - start by looking where the pin is on the green, then decide which side of the fairway to hit. Playing shots with the shape of the hole and the way it was intended will reward you more times than not.

2. Don’t fire at every pin - if a pin is tucked on the right side of the green, you’ll lose strokes if you miss to the right. In this case, hit to the middle of the green in two-putt for your par.

3. Limit penalty shots - if out of bounds is on the right side, the left rough is not a bad place to be. Don’t let ego get in the way and take less club if it puts you in play more often.

These tips are the fastest way to improve your scores from 90 to less than 80.

Matching our feels with what’s real in our swing enables us to hit the ball where we want on the course. Here’s how we get our students closer to actually making the changes that matter:

1. Slow, focused rehearsals - to build effective mind/body connection, you have to utilize the swing changes in many different speeds and intensities. If you’re making a major swing change, chances are it won’t work if you try to make the adjustment with driver in your hand. Start with slow, controlled wedge shots when initially making changes.

2. Control your environment - make sure you’re set up to the target and have accurate measurement devices to let you know if you’re actually making the change you desire. This is why our academy is so effective in making adjustments easy and measurable. Work smarter, not harder.

3. Mirrors are your friend - if a coach isn’t present, a mirror can be the biggest help you can get. This allows you to check if you’re making the right movements and gives you the opportunity to rehearse the changes correctly.

James here has made great progress with his kinematic sequence, thanks to a lot of slow, deliberate rehearsals & focused effort.

Perfecting our positions are vital to creating a repeatable swing. Steven here has very solid fundamentals that have led him to successful tournament rounds this year!

Setup, grip, takeaway, halfway back, top of the backswing, delivery, impact, and finish must all be trained to achieve a functional move to compete with the best.

Wedges can make or break your round! So let’s set you up for success 😃 the best wedge shots are low in flight, we do NOT want to hit high wedge shots as they are easy to lose control. The best players in the world flight their wedge shots lower, by making a few adjustments:

1. They club up - never hit a wedge 100%, take a big club and swing 80% for more control

2. Shallow the approach - you want to pick the ball cleanly off the turf, with a shallow approach. You should NOT be taking a large divot which would indicate you are coming down too steep into the ball

3. Finish low - to keep that ball flight down, finish your swing low so you can control the trajectory
