As we celebrate Father’s Day and Men’s Mental Health Month, we’re reminded that the men in our lives need care too.

🤍 Yoga Is Medicine 🤍
It reminds us to breathe. To slow down. To listen. To feel. To come back to the body, the place where life is actually happening.
So many of us spend our days lost in thought, carrying stress, replaying the past, worrying about the future, and becoming disconnected from ourselves.
Yoga offers another way. Through movement, breath, meditation, and stillness, we begin to reconnect the mind, body, heart, and spirit. We remember that this body is not simply something that carries us through life. It is the vessel through which we experience life.
The body speaks. The heart speaks. The soul speaks.
Yoga teaches us how to listen.

Did you know that yoga was originally practiced by men? For thousands of years, yoga was passed down through male teachers, sages, and seekers who used the practice as a way to cultivate strength, resilience, focus, self-awareness, and inner peace.
Today, many people view yoga as a predominantly female space, but the roots of the practice tell a different story.
We would love to see more men receiving within our sanctuary. So we’re creating a space dedicated to men, a space to pause, breathe, move, and reconnect. Mental health challenges affect countless men, yet many continue to carry the weight of stress, responsibility, anxiety, grief, and overwhelm in silence. Yoga offers an opportunity to step away from the demands of daily life and return to the body, the breath, and the present moment.

“Many of us grew up in a time when men were taught to keep their emotions to themselves. If you were upset, you were told to toughen up, shake it off, or keep moving. Over time, those feelings don’t disappear, they just get buried under years of stress and responsibility. I know because I lived it.
It took me years to peel back those layers and realize that vulnerability isn’t weakness, it’s actually strength. It takes courage to be honest with yourself and confidence to ask for support. Today, men are facing mental health challenges at alarming rates, and too many are carrying the weight alone.
The Raven Heart’s yoga for men’s class on Thursday June 25th is an invitation to slow down, connect, move your body, and create space for yourself. No pressure. No judgment.

We have wanted to experience this energy for 5 years, so this year we are making it happen and we want YOU to join us! We NEED you to join us to create the energy✨

Celebrate the light of the sun, the strength of the body, and the power of collective energy as we come together for a special 108 Sun Salutations practice in honour of International Yoga Day. ☀️
This moving meditation is an opportunity to connect deeply to breath, intention, and the rhythm of your practice while flowing through 108 Sun Salutations alongside community. Traditionally practiced during times of change, reflection, and renewal, 108 Sun Salutations can become a powerful experience of grounding, release, resilience, and inner connection.
You are invited to move at your own pace, rest whenever needed, and honour your body throughout the practice. Whether you complete all 108 or simply come to be part of the energy, this experience is about about being in your body and the energy of flow ☀️
We will begin with intention setting, a gentle warm up and grounding breathwork, we will move through the practice together, and close with rest and integration.
All levels are welcome. Variations and modifications will be offered. We can’t wait to share this with you 🤍

A few little updates ♥️
June is bringing a very expansive energy. I’m wearing red as an energetic anchor to support my energy. Im calling in grounding and safety to support this season of the unknown, change and growth to keep me in the present moment.
This year has been about tearing down and rebuilding the foundation that will support who I am now vs who I was when The Raven Heart was born. Thankful for the medicine of the Raven and the Spiritual Heart.
There’s a lot happening behind the scenes. A picture can tell a thousand words but it doesn’t tell the whole story. Grateful for my village and those who feel called to be a part of something bigger than what we see.
✨The next few weeks are very full for me. But we have a beautiful team here supporting you. Our response time to you may take a little longer.

Meet Vikky ✨
We are excited to finally share and introduce you to our newest practitioner. We met Vikky several years ago. We sat in a healing circle together, shared experiences and supported others. The way she works and holds space is inspiring.
Vikky will be joining us beginning June 16th, working Tuesday’s as well as one Saturday a month.
