Prairie Fire Cheerleading Prairie Fire is an all-star cheerleading club where anyone can train and live their dreams. We look forward to meeting you and sharing PFC.

Our club simply began by providing cheerleading opportunities and active fun to athletes. Over the years it has grown into an organized, responsive, and successful all-star cheerleading club. Our club is supported by a group of individuals, a variety of teams, and finally a family. PFC is a high quality facility where ALL individuals can train and live their dreams. We have worked hard to provide a second home to our athletes, a comfortable space for parents and the best training equipment and coaches in Saskatchewan.

Rounding out the workweek with coach Kalli!!

Kalli’s coaching wins:
• one of her teams winning 1st place out of 8 teams in Alberta after sitting in 3rd and 4th place all season
• ⁠hitting skills for the first time and seeing how excited the athletes are
• ⁠listing the positives after good or hard practices showing that the work pays off
• ⁠seeing a team run their first full out with support from the other athletes in the gym
• ⁠my littles watching the older teams and being so motivated to be like them one day

Today we are spotlighting coach TARA! She’s been coaching for many years, so I’m sure a few of you have good stories and memories to share below:

Tara’s coaching wins this month:

- making connections and getting to know a whole new group of athletes this season

Day 3.. keep celebrating!!!

Alex’s coaching wins:
• she’s feeling more confident in coaching
• coaching a level 2 and killing it!
• seeing athletes she coached in learn to cheer classes move into teams that she is now coaching because she introduced them to the sport!!
• and Raya figured out her switch up this week 😉

Kaitlyn’s coaching wins:
• she allows and creates a space for athletes to make mistakes
• reminding athletes "it's just cheerleading, the world will not end if your stunt bobbles or you touch down in tumbling"
• being a coach-athlete and having her athletes notice how hard she works; she got a compliment on her strength this week.. LOOK AT THOSE ARMS😉

Kicking off day 2 with KIM!

Coaching wins for Kim:

• Getting to work with the most incredible people
• Watching athletes hit their stunts that they’ve been working on for weeks
• Having the actual best job ever

It’s National Coaches week! Make sure to caffeinate, thank, and fill your coaches up with candy 😉.

All jokes aside, we’d like to spend the week sharing some coaching wins, so I will start!!

Some coaching wins for me lately:

- this year I am coaching THREE open teams. This is so amazing for the growth of adult in sport. One young open team, one university team, and one adult/parent team! All are so special in different ways.

- PFC has the MOST open teams in Saskatchewan (and even has 2 additional open teams train in our space). We have 2 open worlds teams, 1 competitive open team, and 1 non-competitive open team, PLUS USASK cheer and dance train at PFC weekly. That’s more Open teams than anywhere else in SK.

- I get to coach for a living, this means I get to take my baby to school every day, spend each morning and day with them, and see them grow up!

- I watch athletes grow and come out of their shell every single day and it’s the greatest gift around.
