Operated by Community Living Toronto. In 1965, Community Living Toronto (then known as the Metropolitan Toronto Association for the Mentally Retarded) purchased the Shadow Lake property and offered an 8 week summer camping program. Separate sessions were held for Children, Teens and Adults. The property was used for the summer months only. In 1970, staff saw the potential for growth at Shadow Lake

From learning new skills and trying new activities to getting out on the lake and spending time together, it’s been a busy week at Shadow Lake Centre.

Our Fall 2026 lineup includes week-long and weekend sessions from September through December, with everything from Friendsgiving and music to science, baking, superheroes and winter fun.
