The Director called a halt to drill practice today to recognize Sergeant Major Nickerson for 15 years of service to Holland College.

If you've attended APA during those years, chances are you've heard his voice, followed his instructions, and maybe even stood a little straighter because of him!

A key member of our team, Sergeant Major Nickerson has played an important role in developing and mentoring generations of cadets.

We're lucky to have him keeping everyone in line.

Congratulations on 15 years, Sergeant Major Nickerson! Here's to many more! 🎉

Orange Shirt Day | National Day for Truth and Reconciliation

Today, APA cadets proudly wear orange shirts to honour the survivors of residential schools, remember the children who never returned home, and acknowledge the lasting impacts on Indigenous families and communities.

As future public safety professionals, we recognize the importance of listening, learning, and fostering relationships built on respect, understanding, and reconciliation.

Every Child Matters.

The service honours the police and peace officers who have fallen in the line of duty, recognizing their service, sacrifice, and commitment to protecting our communities.

Honourable mention to Cadets Vincent and Irving, who each participated in the memorial service by delivering a reading.

👮‍♀️👮 Police don't ever want to be shown up by their firefighting comrades, they also took part in the 9/11 memorial stairclimb at the Credit Union Place this past weekend. Way to show up, put in the work and pay tribute to those who lost their lives saving others 25 years ago.

APA Cadets are stellar. 👌 🚔
