PLANE PULL ✈️

Yes, this fun-sized, lightweight female just pulled a big, retired Hercules aircraft.

Honestly, one of the most entertaining parts of this experience was telling people what I was about to do.

The confusion, questions and raised eyebrows. But my favorite - the non-verbal disbelief.

I get it. I don’t exactly look like your stereotypical plane-pulling candidate.

But that’s kind of the point.

Not everyone needs to see your vision. Not everyone needs to understand how you’re getting from A to B.

Sometimes, you just need to look forward, be present, and put one foot in front of the other.

You don’t need to have every step figured out. You don’t need everyone to believe in what you’re doing.

But when you decide to do something, you owe it to yourself to give it 100%.

No looking sideways. No worrying about who’s watching or what they’re thinking.

Just you, the task in front of you, and the willingness to give it everything you’ve got.

And sometimes that task happens to be pulling a massive aircraft.

Thank you to StrongManitoba Tyler Sigurdson Robert Snow for putting this charity event together for United Way.

Now off to Bangkok for some hockey 🏒

Doom scrolling somehow turned into me pulling a plane. ✈️

All I’m going to see is the road ahead.
So at that point - who cares what is behind me.

HYROX Toronto 🇨🇦 | Pro Women’s

I could do it, so why not?

1:20:48 on the first go around.

Legs were humbled.
Math was challenged.
Self-belief proved to be one of my greatest assets.

Actions speak louder than words.

Sometimes you just have to show up, take on the challenge, and see what you’re capable of.

So, what’s next?

Heading home to Manitoba to attempt to pull a plane. ✈️

Then off to Bangkok for a little hockey. 🏒

PSL U73 — Salt Lake 🏔️

Had a blast lifting a lot of weight, in a lot of different ways, alongside some seriously dedicated people in this sport.

This show brought some newer implements, plenty of medleys, and events that challenged me in different ways. Not everything went exactly how I would’ve liked — some things within my control and some outside of it — but I’m happy to have found some steadiness across events and, especially, to regain confidence in my deadlift on the competition floor again.

Lots to build on, and lots more in the tank.

Thank you The Sweaty Pig for hosting and for having one of the coolest gyms around. Thank you to all of the volunteers who made the event happen, and to Professional Strongman League for continuing to put on standalone shows that give the different weight classes a chance to compete and be highlighted. And, of course, thank you to all of the event sponsors for supporting the sport.

Now onto some Hyrox next week 🏃‍♀️

ABS Pro/Am Canada 🇨🇦

My oh my oh my…

If I could tell you a closer Dot than what happened last weekend - I would. As I said I love the stage and wanted to put in a show, I didn’t mean it that way.

The last time I went 4/9 on a powerlifting platform was my very first powerlifting meet. I call myself a backyard lifter, I will attack the bar, stay compact, and move weight how I need to (insert strongwoman).

However -

If you have seen what I’ve done over the last 5 weeks - I pulled out a huge win which I’m so proud of.

My last 5 weeks have been EPIC ⚡️

4 major wins, pulling 2 types of trucks, and claiming 3 world records. Competing across many domains and stages. In different countries and time zones.

I had to be strategic. I had to be aware. And I had to be a competitor when the bell rang.

Squat - 170/175x/175x
Bench - 100/102.5/105x
Deadlift - 200 😔
Dot - 492.01

Thank you and for putting this meet together. This was a level of professionalism that elevates the sport and more women wanting to try or compete in the sport. Thanks for providing the venue for an amazing experience and another home for some of my strength and weightlifting. And the crew for the training/competition support. To for helping with my calculations back stage and give me some reassurance with my lifts/jumps. And for supporting and helping me through all these competitions.

Great job to all the competitors and special shout out to all the ladies in the Pro/Am division.

Until next week 😏
Just kidding!

Battle at the Brink 4.0/Strongest Women in Canada Qualifier

During this competition bender, my goal was pretty simple:

Perform well, support my athletes, and be a little more present

Of course I want to do my best and set up myself for the best chance possible to win. Every time I step onto a competition floor, I want to see what I’m capable of and how I stack up. But this stretch of competitions has also reminded me of something bigger.

Log Clean & Press – 160, 175, 190 lbs
Duck Walk + Power Stair (180/200 lbs) – 20.0 sec
Deficit Deadlift Ladder – 365 lbs, ~16-17 seconds
Fire Hydrant Carry – 300.5 ft @ 190 lbs
Ball Throw – ~32 ft accumulated

1st Place 😊

As athletes, it’s easy to doubt ourselves.

Previous results stick with us. Outside opinions creep in. Sometimes we get so buried in training, recovery, and the day-to-day grind that we forget what we’re actually capable of.

After the Log, I was changing equipment over for the next event when a thought crossed my mind:

“Taylor, you actually have a chance to win this thing.”

Then another thought followed:

“Only if you want to. Put a little faith in yourself and run with it.”

Looking back, that moment probably sums up this entire competition stretch.

Not because of the win itself, but because it reminded me how many opportunities are still out there. Sometimes we’re so focused on what’s next, what needs fixing, or where we fell short before that we lose sight of what’s possible right now.

This weekend came together in a way that was far less chaotic and unpredictable than usual, and that was a huge bonus.

Congratulations to the TWoods crew that stepped onto the competition floor. There were highs, lows, lessons learned, and moments that provided clarity on bigger goals moving forward.

Thank you to and .strong.osteo for putting on a great show, and thank you to all of the volunteers who helped make the event happen.

Great job to all the athletes that competed in SWIC

One more competition left in this run.

Let’s see what happens
