What we see in our community is extraordinary.

We see seasoned business leaders, entrepreneurs and solopreneurs beside community builders and artisans of every discipline. We see athletes, teachers, bankers, builders, doctors, lawyers, astronauts and creators. Women who lead companies. Women who lead classrooms. Women who lead families. Women who quietly hold entire communities together.

We see daughters, mothers, grandmothers, aunts, sisters, best friends — and even ex-girlfriends who somehow become forever family. A kaleidoscope of experience, identity, ambition and humanity, all gathering in the same space.

That is the power of women’s sports.
Not just fandom — connection. 💕

For so long, women were expected to participate in community in fragments: professionally here, socially there, personally somewhere else. Women’s sports are creating something rare. A place where all versions of ourselves are welcome at once.

Penalty Box Girls exists to build the space around that energy.
A place where relationships form, opportunities emerge, stories are shared, businesses grow, confidence is restored and community becomes tangible again.

Because when women gather, something bigger always happens.

✨ Today is a milestone for Penalty Box Girls! ✨

Since our official launch on March 31, we've been blown away by the response from this incredible community.

🏒 500+ followers
💕 300,000+ views
🎉 50,000+ engagements
📈 120% growth

But the numbers aren't what matter most.

What matters are the messages from women telling us they felt welcomed, connected, and part of something bigger. We've heard over and over that being part of Penalty Box Girls gave them a sense of belonging. That is exactly why we started this journey.

What began with one game has led to friendships, unforgettable experiences, and exciting opportunities with the Toronto Sceptres, other teams across the league, the Toronto Tempo, and even the Toronto Blue Jays.

Most importantly, it has connected Mary Lou and me with all of you. What more could 2 girls want? 💕

Women show up for sports differently. We come for the game, but we stay for the connection, the community, and the people beside us.

Thank you for being part of this movement. We're just getting started. We have more news to follow soon on the upcoming PWHL season! FOLLOW US! 💕🏒

Penalty Box Girls build the cultural infrastructure that transforms women's sports fandom into lasting relationships. We are as strong as our members in our pursuit and are honoured to highlight Elana Harte-O'Neill in the final part of the series series! An incredible community leader, advocate, and singer-songwriter whose work has always been rooted in connection and belonging.
Women’s sports taught us this moment is bigger than the game. It’s about visibility, courage, and finally taking up space. Something Elana and the Sling Sisters know a lot about.

Who is it going to be?

Will the Victoire de Montréal take the 3rd and final game tonight? Will Ottawa Charge tie it up and force a final game 5?

If the fans have a vote it would be very close!

Our group is built to support strong, bold women who know something about standing up and being seen. It's our core principle. This is a place to celebrate our women's community and provide a place of belonging.

We are honoured to highlight Elana Harte-O'Neill in the first of a three part series! An incredible community leader, advocate, and singer-songwriter whose work has always been rooted in connection and belonging.
