Scottie Barnes’ perimeter defence getting some love by 2K. 💪 🔒

“The Toronto Raptors and Andre Jackson Jr. have agreed to a deal, league sources told Hoops Hype. He’ll compete for a roster spot with the Raptors. He spent the past three seasons with the Milwaukee Bucks.”

Based on the statement above, the deal is presumably an Exhibit-10 deal.

Welcome to the North side, Trey Jemison !!

The Toronto Raptors have signed 6’10 Center Trey Jemison III to the 3rd and final two-way contract, joining Chucky Hepburn and the rookie Jaden Bradley.

Jemison last played for the New York Knicks last season, where he became an NBA champion and NBA Cup champion with them.

“The NBA investigation into whether the LA Clippers circumvented the salary cap to pay Kawhi Leonard could drag into 2027 if the parties don’t agree on the findings or any proposed settlement that involves punishing the team, sources with knowledge of the case told ESPN on Wednesday.”

“Sources close to the National Basketball Players Association with knowledge of the investigation said the union wouldn’t hesitate to take the matter to arbitration if the NBA sought penalties without sufficient evidence proving the claim that the Clippers have denied since the league’s probe began nearly 10 months ago.”

“Both the Clippers and Raptors have stated that they still intend to complete the deal, though it’s unclear how an arbitration process might impact their ability to do so.”

“Outside of punishment for salary cap circumvention, it’s unclear what penalties, if any, the Clippers and/or Leonard could face. The Athletic recently reported that Wachtell has expanded the scope of its investigation and was looking into a previously unreported endorsement deal that Leonard had with another company, as well as expenses that the Clippers provided for Leonard but for which the team was not reimbursed.”

Ummmmm… we have ourselves an interesting preseason. 😁

Raptors fans in Québec City and Vancouver don’t have to wait too long to see Giannis Antetokounmpo play with the Miami Heat, and (potentially) see Brandon Ingram with the LA Clippers, respectively.

The remainder of the preseason concludes with two matches against the defending champs NY Knicks, and last season’s number one seed in the East, the Detroit Pistons.

A relatively tough preseason for the Raps this coming season. 👀
