Updates @6:00am 1/25/2026
La Pirouette Royale will be closed today due to the snowstorm, reduced visibility, and uncertain road conditions.
For the safety of our students, families, and staff—especially when traveling to and from the studio—all classes (8:30am-6:30pm) are cancelled today.
Thank you for your understanding.
Please stay warm and safe. ❄️
——————-////——————-
Avoid non-essential travel if possible
Weather & driving forecast:
• Driving conditions are currently rated “poor” due to winter precipitation — slow traffic, snow-covered/slushy roads and reduced visibility are expected.
• A major snow system is forecast for the region later, with Environment Canada issuing winter storm warnings for southern Ontario, including Toronto.
📍 What This Means on the Ground
• Snow and ice are affecting roads: Many streets and highways are likely to be snow or slush covered this morning.
• Reduced visibility and traction: Vehicles may slide, and stopping distances will be longer.
• Plows are active: City and provincial snowplows are clearing major routes, but secondary roads may still be messy.
• Public transit impacts possible: Streetcars/buses can be slowed or rerouted when snow builds on tracks or roads (this is typical in winter storms).
