Royal Colwood junior member, Ewan Baldwin, put 6 birdies on the card, and only 1 bogey, and won a putt-off to win the United States Golf Association - USGA Junior Amateur Qualifier at Chilliwack Golf Club on Monday. 🏅

Next stop, Bethlehem, Pennsylvania for the U.S. Junior Amateur Championship in July.

The 2026 BCGA Zone 5 Men’s Championship, 2026 BCGA Zone 5 Women’s Championship, the GPP Island Pro Tour Event #4… and Ws all around! 🥳

At Arbutus Ridge for the BCGA Zone 5 Championship, Royal Colwood’s Gary Pike, Neil O’Leary, Bentley Hoogerdyk, Emma Kral and Luke Bernakevitch came up BIG!
Luke won the Overall Junior, Junior and Juvenile Championships; Emma won the Ladies and Junior Championships; Bentley won the Bantam Championship, Gary won the Mid Amateur and Mid Master Championships; and Neil won the Senior Championship!

At Ardmore Golf Course on Monday, our own Mac McLeod (and Cedar Hill Golf’s Daniel Kirby) shared top spot, after both firing 6-under rounds in the GPP Island Pro Tour Event #4.

This past Friday we hosted our Member Recognition Party. A special celebration honouring the long-standing members and dedicated volunteers of Royal Colwood Golf Club.

Members joined us to recognize and celebrate the many years of commitment and camaraderie that define our club community. Thank you to everyone who helps to make our wonderful club so special!

YES, THEY DID!

Congratulations to all members who competed in the 2026 Vancouver Island Open, this past weekend! 👏
The two-man best-ball event featured Round 1 at Cedar Hill Golf Course and Round 2 at Royal Colwood Golf Club.

In the Open Division, Royal Colwood’s Kevin Carrigan and Craig Doell (of Victoria Golf Club) were crowned champions with a strong 15-under par performance. Edging out the Head Professional of Victoria Golf Club – Lindsay Bernakevitch and his son Luke (Our current Royal Colwood junior club champion).

In the Seniors Division, Mark Dupuy and Mike Mannion (both of Royal Colwood Golf Club) claimed victory after a dramatic finish — winning on the 7th playoff hole via a chip-off against Uplands Golf Club’s Gordon Hahn and Ron Frolek.

MEET OUR FRIENDS

Most agree, golf is a game best enjoyed in the company of friends.
One of the favourite things about being a Royal Colwood member is our reciprocal golf club privileges. Royal Colwood Golf Club has fostered relationships with other golf clubs around the world to permit our members to play at some of the finest golf courses in the world, including “Royal” designated clubs around the world. Hopefully, you have the opportunity to visit some of our great friends.

We’d like to share a few snapshots of our friends with you!

Earl Grey Golf Club, Calgary, AB
Founded in 1919, Earl Grey Golf Club started out with a 5-hole course which was later expanded to an 18-hole layout at its current location. Earl Grey's courses have undergone significant changes since its opening in 1919. Its latest transformation included the redesign of its Championship Course. Redesigned in 2018, the 18-hole course spans 130 acres of rolling fairways and beautiful views. Earl Grey's Par 3 course was also modified during this redesign and is considered by its members to be Earl Grey's little gem. Today, the course extends to 7,041 yards from the back tees, playing to a par of 72, and golfers enjoy a picturesque and well-maintained golfing experience for golfers of all skill levels.
