From the entire WWHM team, we would like to take a moment to share our gratitude and total awe of what this event has become because of all of YOU!
This was year two of our passion project and vision for the Windsor race scene. Bringing a large scale running event to Windsor was years in the making and takes a village of dedicated people and volunteers to bring it to life. However, none of that matters if the city, run community, local businesses, sponsors, vendors, volunteers and families do not share that same goal. This event has become what it is because of YOU! Because of that, we THANK YOU ALL FROM THE BOTTOM OF OUR HEARTS! As long as you continue to believe in this event and support the vision, we will continue to work our a$$es off to bring you the best event we possibly can year after year.
A special thanks to Jim Scott and Ground Effects for their unwavering support and belief in our event since day 1, TD for their generosity to our local charities, 52 Productions for helping take our event to the next level visually, Drive Magazine for helping spread the word, WINEOLOGY, Mike Dupuis and DS Electric for your growing support with the medals and aid stations, Running Factory for providing all our runners with the best gear in town! Rauth Roofing, Genesis Mold, Hiram Walkers, Grace from Personal Best Orthotics, Chris from Tim Hortons for keeping all the volunteers fed and the yummy snacks after the race, Pure Flavor, Skratch Labs, Hyena and Culligan for keeping everyone hydrated. Special thanks to Walkerville Brewery for hosting us at race packet pickup and water stations and the after party. Thank you to Chrissy from Creative Collections for their design work of the medals and shirts, Little Caesars, Cars for a Cause, Frank Brewing, Gavin Kooner of Deerbrook, Friedl Dentistry, CCS, Landstar, TWEPI, and New Balance. Big shout out to Dave Orshinsky for announcing, as well as Chip time results, our on course photographers, Ingrid our volunteer coordinator and our Ambassador team for your relentless efforts and all your hard work. We could not do this without ALL OF YOU! THANK YOU!
To our local charities, Big Brothers Big Sisters of Windsor Essex and Windsor Cancer Centre Foundation, you are the driving force behind our motivation, thank you for all that you do and the people you help with your organizations, you inspire our team. We are here for you, and thank you for going above and beyond for your help with our event.
The WWHM team will take a short break, and then spend the next 10 months planning and preparing to make 2027 even better!
