Central Canada Kayak Trail Stop #1 at Lake Wahtopanah was tough! I was able to only catch these two walleye. I was on fish all day but they just didn’t want to commit to biting. I lost two big fish early in the day and another good one later on, which would have easily put me in the top 10, but that’s the way she goes I guess. For me to place 15th out of 28 anglers with only two fish really shows how tough the bite was. Congrats to on the win and all the others who placed! And big thank you to and all the volunteers for putting on this event!

Gonna be competing in my first real kayak tournament this Saturday! I believe it’ll be live-streamed on Facebook, so you can keep up with the fish that are being caught, which is pretty cool. Wish me luck as it’s a walleye tournament not a bass tournament. Ha!

here’s a couple from the exhibition event on Saturday. Hopefully I can get on a few bigger ones this coming weekend for the first tournament.

I participated in the exhibition tournament at Winnipeg Beach on Lake Winnipeg this past Saturday. I didn’t catch anything too big but it was great to get out and test the kayak. There were a few master angler walleye caught and 4 different species. It was a beautiful day with no wind. On to the next one this coming weekend.

Gonna be doing this exhibition event tomorrow put on by It’ll be the maiden voyage in the new kayak. Hopefully everything goes smoothly. Anyone else doing this one?

My Tactical Pro got its first tats! Rigging is almost done, hopefully get it out on the water next weekend!
