Co****le Canada is aware of the resignations of Geoff Waterman and Matt Pleil from ACL Canada, as well as the uncertainty currently affecting the organization, its leagues, and members of the Canadian co****le community.
We recognize that this is a difficult time for the many players, league directors, and volunteers who have invested their time, energy, and passion into growing the sport. We sincerely wish everyone affected the very best as they work through the challenges ahead.
Co****le Canada and Geoff Waterman spoke this morning about the future of co****le in Canada. The conversation was positive and productive, and we have agreed to continue those discussions with the shared intent of bringing the Canadian co****le community closer together and building upon everything both organizations—and the incredible people within them—have accomplished to date.
While the circumstances leading to this moment are unfortunate, they also present an opportunity to explore new possibilities, strengthen relationships, and create a more united path forward. Both organizations have been supported by dedicated people who care deeply about the sport, and we believe this moment could become a meaningful turning point—one that helps shape what co****le in Canada looks like for generations to come.
Co****le Canada remains committed to making the sport accessible to everyone. As we always have, we will continue working to ensure that every player who wants to compete this season has a welcoming and meaningful opportunity to play.
At a time like this, our focus must remain on supporting one another, keeping players on the lanes, respecting the work that has already been done, and continuing to grow the game we all care so deeply about.
