The Manitoba Rowing Association's Annual General Meeting will be taking place at 12:00pm on Saturday, November 15th at the Winnipeg Rowing Club - 20 Lyndale Dr. Winnipeg, Manitoba.

Please note: The AGM will be followed by our Awards and Reception at 1:30pm.

MRA is excited to release our Strategic Plan. Many thanks to our community members and Board members for their input and feedback during this process. The Strategic Plan was proudly developed with support from Manitoba Liquor & Lotteries. We are so grateful for their support.

The future of rowing in Manitoba relies on the choices our community makes today. There is renewed energy among participants to build our sport up from the grassroots through to the highest level. MRA is looking forward to working alongside its member clubs to maintain our tradition of excellence and expand our base to ensure that the joy of rowing is broadly experienced in our province.

🚣‍♀️Big news for Kate Nazar and for rowing in Manitoba! 🇨🇦

Kate is in the running to represent Canada this summer—either on the Junior National Team or at the Continental Cup! 🙌

Earlier in May, she was invited to Rowing Canada’s Eastern Junior Camp in St. Catharines, where she raced the single and took part in seat racing. It was an incredible experience that pushed her to the next level.

She returned at the end of May for CSSRAs (Canadian Secondary School Rowing Association - essentially high school national championships) placing 4th in the single against many of the same top athletes from the camp. 💪🏼

As a result, Kate has been invited back to St. Catharines for another selection camp that will determine whether she earns a spot on the Junior National Team or the Continental Cup team.

If selected for the Continental Cup, she’ll race in Michigan from July 7–17. 🌟
If she makes the Junior National Team—it’s off to Lithuania from August 1–11! 🌍❤️

Rowing Manitoba Association (MRA) is seeking an individual to fill its Executive Director position. This is a part-time position (21 hours per week) based in Winnipeg, Manitoba. The Executive Director will report to the MRA President and work with the MRA Board of Directors.

🎉CONGRATULATIONS to MRA High Performance athlete, Becca Zubricki, on receiving the Rowing Canada’s International Achievement Award!

🥉Becca received this award for her Bronze medal finish in the Women’s Quad at the CanAmMex International Regatta in Mexico City, Mexico in August 2024. This wonderful achievement was recognized at the RCA Excellence Awards at the 2024 RCA Semi-Annual Meeting.

💪🏼 Becca’s hard work and dedication to rowing are part of what makes her a strong female role model for all rowers in our community. 🙌🏼

As the New Year kicks off, it is time to look back on the year that was 2024. There were so many great achievements - personal goals met (by athletes at all levels!) 🙌🏼, big dreams reached (Abby Dent’s Olympic! 🥈) and monstrous projects started (Winnipeg Rowing Club) 🔨
