Weekend highlight recap
Royal City Rumble 4 hosted by went down as a massive success. So much fun.
And PRs. All of them actually.

Some big accomplishments were achieved by both myself and as we crushed our prior comp records and hit all time personal records in all 3 of our lifts.

90kg weight class - winner 🏆
Squat 182.5kg / 402lb
Bench 132.5kg / 292lb
Deadlift 245.5kg / 540lb
Total 560.5kg / 1233lb

Couldn't be more pleased with the outcomes, all the hard work paid off - as expected, of course.

2nd competition for myself, and damn is it a rush. The community, the production and the adrenaline of stepping on that platform. Indescribable.

Stop 🛑- If you're avoiding being more active because of "age related" aches and pains, you're missing out on years of quality living and becoming a statistic.

As a fitness coach who has specialized in corrective exercise and pain management, restoring pain free movement is what I do.

9/10 times that knee, elbow, lower back (or other joint) pain is caused by immobility and movement mechanic flaws. Avoiding moving said joint, relying on NSAIDs and injections is a bandaid and that's why it keeps on coming back. You're missing the true cause.

Burnout? Muscle and joint pain? Trash sleep? Lack of motivation? No days off?

Believe it or not this IS NOT what strength training is supposed to feel like. So stop pursuing these metrics and treating them like a badge of honor.

You're just doing it wrong ❌ ❌ ❌

If your "strength training" leaves you tired, out of breath and sweating - someone's lied to you about what it takes to build strength. And that's why your results are lacking.

Lift heavy s . Rest. Like actually rest (2-5mins). Lift heavy s again. Repeat. Food is fuel - eat up. Sleep is the magical elixir of GAINS - do lots of it. And for the love of that's holy.. take a flippin day off - you've earned it.

Now GO ..don't let me catch you doing your silly cardio with weights nonsense, and DEFINITELY don't call it strength training..
