Listen to our Head of Dance Jason Beechey speaking about various topics in dance on the Ballet Help Desk Podcast 🩰
NEW EPISODE
What does a truly responsible ballet training program look like?
Jason Beechey of Zurich Dance Academy accepts only 20 students per level from hundreds of applicants. And from day one, he’s upfront with every one of them about what lies ahead.
“We’re educating our future dance educators, board members, directors and teachers who go on to so many other fields.”
The goal isn’t just to produce dancers. It’s to produce people who carry a deep appreciation for the arts into whatever they do next. Find the full interview wherever you listen to the Ballet Help Desk Podcast or listen on our website. Link in comments.

Creation and Collaboration at its best 👏 Zurich Dance Academy was proudly represented in two accompanying events at this year’s Prix de Lausanne.
💡The Young Creation Award offers emerging choreographers a unique platform for contemporary creation and artistic development. Medeea Caplea performed “Duck Lake” by Clara-Maria Oiceags . Anastasiia Protsenko-Herman presented her choreography “Noise in Silence”, danced by Emaline Ownby . Both pieces were rich in creativity, allowing the students’ unique artistic signatures and creative spirit to truly shine ✨
🤝🏼As part of the Partner School Choreographic Project, Jana Garcia Oliveras .garcia.oliveras_ had the special opportunity to work with this year’s guest choreographer Edwaard Liang and his choreographic assistant Giovanni Villalobos .villalobos, collaborating with 27 dancers from various partner schools 🌍🩰
It was amazing to see our students’ creativity and growth during this week full of new experiences. They gained invaluable insights into choreographic processes, collaborated with students from around the world, and performed on the stage of the Théâtre de Beaulieu 🎭
