What a day in Portimão with AF Corse! 🇵🇹🔥
Yesterday, Marcus Terkildsen completed a full test day in a Ligier JSP325 (LMP3) at the iconic Autódromo Internacional do Algarve as a guest of AF Corse and 23events Racing.
This was Marcus' first time driving an LMP3 car at Portimão and only his third outing in this type of car. Despite that, he continued to improve throughout the entire day, finding more speed in every session and learning from every lap.
By the end of the test, Marcus had set some seriously impressive lap times and was running only a few tenths away from highly experienced benchmark pace. Not bad for a 16-year-old still learning the world of prototype racing! 👊
What impressed us most was the way Marcus approached the day. Calm, focused and always looking for the next improvement. Small adjustments, smart feedback and a willingness to learn translated into significant gains throughout the day.
The potential is there for everyone to see. Give Marcus a new car, a new circuit and a new challenge, and he continues to rise to the occasion.
A huge thank you to AF Corse and 23events Racing for the opportunity and for believing in Marcus. It was a fantastic experience and another important step on his journey.
The future looks exciting🚀

🏁 BIG WEEK AHEAD! 🇵🇹
This Sunday, we're heading to Portimão for a test with AF Corse.
Being invited by one of the most successful and respected teams in international endurance racing is a huge honour, especially for a 16-year-old driver. Opportunities like this don't come around very often, and we're incredibly grateful for the trust and confidence shown in Marcus.
After securing pole position in every Ligier European Series heat so far this season, Marcus will now have the opportunity to continue his development behind the wheel of an LMP3 prototype.
LMP3 is a category that plays an important role in endurance racing and has helped develop many drivers on their journey through the sport. It is a highly demanding race car that requires precision, consistency and confidence to extract maximum performance.
A huge thank you to AF Corse and 23events Racing for making this opportunity possible.
We're excited to get to work, learn as much as possible and make the most of every lap.
Stay tuned as we'll be bringing you behind the scenes from Portimão over the coming days👊

Le Mans delivered everything motorsport is about. Highs, lows, speed, pressure and lessons that will make us stronger!
First of all, thank you for all the messages and support throughout the weekend. We have just returned from our first race weekend at the legendary Circuit de la Sarthe, and while the result was not what we had hoped for, there are plenty of positives to take away.
Marcus showed incredible pace from the very beginning, finishing Free Practice in P1 and 2.3 seconds clear of the field.
Qualifying was heavily impacted by a Full Course Yellow, leaving most drivers with only one flying lap. Marcus secured P2 among the 23 JS2 R entries and was later promoted to Pole Position after the original pole sitter received a penalty for failing to respect double yellow flags.
The race started well, but the long Le Mans straight made slipstream a major factor. Marcus was running P2 after the first corner, but by the end of the straight he had dropped to P5 as several competitors benefited from the powerful tow effect.
Instead of giving up positions, Marcus immediately went on the attack.
Over the next few laps he fought his way back through the field, making decisive moves and climbing back to P2 by lap three. The pace was strong, confidence was high, and he was closing in on the race leader.
Unfortunately, while pushing hard in the battle at the front, he ran slightly wide onto the dirty part of the circuit and made contact with the tyre barrier. Moments later another car made heavy contact with the side of our Ligier, forcing both cars to retire from the race.
A disappointing end to what had otherwise been a very promising weekend.
The positive takeaway is clear: the pace is there.
At every round of the 2026 Ligier European Series season, Marcus has demonstrated front running speed and the ability to fight for wins. Le Mans was no different.
There were no major shakeups at the top of the championship standings, meaning we leave Le Mans still firmly in the title fight with three race weekends and six races remaining.
Now it is time to regroup, repair, learn and come back stronger.
See you at Spa Francorchamps on August 21st to 23rd. 👊🏁

Motorsport is about much more than speed.
Behind every race weekend is a huge focus on mindset, concentration and learning how to perform under pressure.
The mental side of racing is one of the most important parts of becoming a top level driver. Staying focused, reacting quickly, handling setbacks and delivering when expectations are high.
That is why coaching, preparation and routines play such a big role away from the track as well. Jan Magnussen experience and expertise are invaluable to a young driver like Marcus!
Building a racing driver is not only about creating speed. It is about building confidence, discipline and mentality too🔥🏁
