Fuld fart og solskin over Limfjorden: Intens kamp om World Cup-point i Thy på 3. Dagen af Cold Hawaii PWA / WWT Youth Wave & Slalom World Cup 2026

DAY 3. Full-Throttle Slalom Action on the Fjord – 4 Foil Eliminations Locked In!
With the Wave discipline kept on tactical standby ahead of a promising swell forecast for the upcoming weekend, Day 3 belonged entirely to the Slalom fleet. The call was made early to relocate to the flat-water haven of Limfjorden—a decision that paid off in spectacular fashion.
Limfjorden delivered ideal racing conditions from the get-go, serving up wall-to-wall sunshine and a fresh to strong breeze. The stage was set for an intense, high-speed battle over all-important World Cup points.
Relentless Racing from Start to Finish There was no holding back once the green flag dropped. The Race Committee kept the hammer down all day, running heats back-to-back with virtually no breaks straight through until late afternoon.
The fleet capitalized on the prime conditions to the absolute maximum. When the dust settled, a full quota of 4 Foil eliminations had been successfully completed, alongside nearly as many Fin eliminations.
Despite burning legs after a grueling session on the water, the atmosphere in the pit area was electric. Thys' wild nature delivered a pristine backdrop, leaving riders and crew all smiles after a textbook day of top-tier racing.
Looking Ahead to Day 4 The forecast for Day 4 indicates a slight drop in wind strength, though conditions are still expected to remain in the fresh range. While further Slalom action remains on the table, a well-deserved lay day is also being considered to give competitors a chance to recharge after today's marathon program.
The official call will be made on Thursday morning following a assessment of the live conditions on the beach.
