IFR Annual General Meeting (AGM) Sunday 28 June 4pm in Valencia during Gay Games at Fundacion Deportiva Municipal Passeig de la Petxina 42, Valencia Spain - to RSVP virtually or in person (note each current club which has paid up dues if applicable and has re-confirmed themselves in our platform annually will have one vote - anyone is welcome to join, but it is strictly one vote per current, paid up club) - we will have a social get together after the event. Submissions for IFR newsletter (deadline 10 June):

Send us 1-3 paragraphs and photos about your runs, events, and other adventures in the past 12 months how your membership has evolved, any tips for other clubs etc. You will need to submit by 10 June to make the annual newsletter.

🏳️‍🌈🏳️‍⚧️ International Frontrunners Day is 15 June 2026! How will your club be celebrating? International Front Runners (IFR) Day is an annual global celebration observed on June 15th to honor the worldwide network of LGBTQIA+ running and walking clubs. The day celebrates inclusivity, health, and community solidarity, encouraging members to hit the streets or trails to run, walk, and socialize. The event is held every June 15th (typically celebrated by clubs the weekend before or after their regular runs) in honor of author Patricia Nell Warren’s birthday. She wrote the groundbreaking 1974 novel The Front Runner, which inspired the establishment of the very first LGBTQ+ running club in San Francisco.

*London Frontrunners Shake-Out run for London Marathon at the Expo TODAY!*.

Today, Friday the 24th at the London Marathon Show at the ExCeL, Royal Victoria Dock, E16 1XL, best access: Custom House (DLR / Elizabeth Line).

Upon arrival, please head into the main London Marathon hall (Nr 5) and just before the large and very bright New Balance archway, you will find the LFR team at the Stride With Pride Stand, on the left, past the Daffodil Runner statue.

For the 5k LFR Shake-Out Run, *meet at 6:30pm for a prompt start at 6:45pm*. The run wil start from the Stride With Pride stand, there will be a bag drop available and the toilets nearby can be used for changing into your running kit.
The run will be led by the LFR coaching coordinator Adam Jones and two more of our experienced EA-qualified LFR coaches.

Sydney participants staged the second leg of International Rainbow Memorial Run in Centennial Park with a 5k run and 2k walk followed by coffee and snacks. Lots more cities to go as the flag makes its way to Opening Ceremony Valencia on June 27. — in Sydney, NSW.
