🌺 FROM THE PACIFIC TO SINGAPORE 🇫🇯🇸🇬

This August 2026, Kavara Arts travelled with Takia Outrigger Canoe Club Fiji in spirit as we made our way from Fiji to Singapore for the IVF World Sprints Championships.

As part of their kind sponsorship and generous gesture, Kavara Arts helped us share a little piece of Fiji, our culture and our appreciation with those who supported our journey.

A special Vinaka vaka levu to Fiji Water, Shayne Sorby and her family, together with the wider Fijian community in Singapore, for making sure our Fiji paddlers were kept fully hydrated, supported and reminded that a little piece of home was never too far away. 💚💚🌴

The beautiful gift from Kavara Arts was our way of saying thank you for the incredible hospitality, support and love shown to our team during our time in Singapore.

Its already been a couple of days of competition in Singapore for the .sg World Sprints with the Elite categories completed. We congratulate the travelling Fiji team that took part in the Elite competitions representing our country. As our Takia squad members prepare for the Club Championships, we take this time to thank the following organizations that have contributed to their preparations toward the World Sprints.

We also send out a Big Vinaka Vakalevu to the Fijian Community in Singapore for looking after our team members during their stay. So much love and support has been given to them and we are so grateful to you all. Vinaka vakalevu and God Bless.

In a few days, our travelling squad will compete at the International Va'a Federation World Sprints in Singapore. We take this time to reflect on the journey that has brought us to this point and we are grateful to the families, friends, employers and fellow paddlers who supported them during their preparation.

An awesome day with the Takia Family at the Fiji Outrigger V1 and V6 Sprints Competition in Suva on Saturday 25th July. 57 of our paddlers from the Junior Grade to the Masters category took part in the V1 and V6 respective events. Well done to all other clubs for some outstanding performances on the water. Music by VT1s "Ua ni Yadra"
