The Hundred Challenge Aber Uni Sports Centre Thursday 9th July
The Pilates Hundred 🔥
Small pumps, big impact.
This classical warm‑up fires up your deep core, builds breath control, and gets every muscle switched on.
It’s not just 100 counts — it’s 100 chances to connect breath, focus, and precision.
As a Personal Trainer and Fitness Instructor, it’s a universal truth… our counting is questionable at best 🤣 (But hey, if you’re still moving, still breathing, and still smiling, I’m calling it a win 🤣) so, using this FANTABULOUS song from my most favourite band ever, is a fun way for everyone to get the best out of this exercise 😍

In my work as a Sports Therapist, I see a lot of clients with Hyperlordosis or Lower Cross Syndrome — an excessive curve through the lumbar spine, that often creates a knock‑on effect throughout the body.
That deep arch doesn’t just stay in the lower back — it can influence hip mechanics, core activation, gait, and even upper‑body posture.
Most of the time, it comes down to one thing: poor posture created by muscle imbalances....
➡️Tight hip flexors + overworked lower‑back muscles
➡️Weak glutes + underactive core
Hyperlordosis isn’t a quick‑fix condition — it’s the long‑term result of postural and muscular imbalances.
But here’s the good news: with the right approach, it can be rehabilitated.
A consistent mix of targeted stretches, strength work, and regular check‑ins with a Sports Therapist, Physiotherapist, Chiropractor, or Osteopath can gradually restore balance, improve posture, and reduce that excessive lumbar curve.

First run since 13th May 😱
I woke up ridiculously early this morning (440am) and was contemplating going back to sleep 😴
Decided to have a lil mooch through Insta, and saw Phil Woodland video of his 14km run last night, and it prompted/inspired me to get my lazy posterior out of bed and into my running gear, so thanks Phil 🙏
Did a slow, short 2 miler just to ease myself back in, and avoid any niggles/injuries, but even this was quite a challenge with the 400 million mph wind....💨💨🤣🤣
I finished at home with a quick 20 minute kettlebell routine, a good post-exercise stretch and a dog walk.
I have to say, I feel so much better for getting up and out early, which was my previous routine when living in Surrey 🏃♀️🏊♀️🚴♀️
