On Sunday 6th September Newgate play Lochee BC at Maryfield BC at 11am in the Top 5 semi finals. Victory over Lochee would then see Newgate head to Dudhope BC for the Final at 2pm.

Its with sad news on Friday Honary President Tom Pullar sadly passed away at Royal Victoria Hospital. Tom was well known on the bowling greens all over Scotland and was a past President of the Angus Bowling Association. Tom served many years on the Newgate Committee and was also on the Town championships committee until his illness. He will be sorely missed at the Newgate and by many other clubs.Our condolences to Margaret and family on your sad loss. RIP Tom A celebration of toms life will be held on Tuesday 15th September 12noon at George Stewarts.

British Legion are providing 4 rinks there will be a sheet goung up tomorrow night for you too put your names up.

Club Round Robin Sunday 6th September the sheet has been up for a month there are 15 names down im gonna leave the sheet up till Wednesday hopefully get 9 more names to make 12 pairs. if interested please put your name down on the sheet in the downstairs locker room.

Town Championships Final
Mixed bag again in the town championships with D.Gillon and J.Cargill snr losing to young Abbey pair 18- 7. D.Lyall M.Soutar S.Sibley winning against Arbroath 22-7

Last Sunday there were 14 mixed pairs entered played in a round robin format with D.Gillon and Margaret Cargill playing D.McIvor and L.Irvine in the Final. D.Gillon and M.Cargill coming out on top in a tight game.
