🏁🟢🔴The race starts and finishes at The Navan Centre on the Killylea Road
⬅️Turn left onto the Ballycrummy Road
⬅️Turn left onto the Cathedral Road & Battleford Road
⬅️Turn left onto the Knappagh Road
⬅️Turn left onto the Elm Park Road
⬅️And then turn left one more time, back onto the Killylea Road.

Meet our last (but absolutely not least!) pacer - Mr Declan Toal (we call him Bert! )🏃‍♂️💙
Bert has been a proud member of Armagh A.C. for an incredible 20 years and loves nothing more than running and training alongside like-minded people.

💬 “I enjoy all running, but I particularly like 10K, half and full marathons. I have completed 7 World Major Marathons, including New York, Boston, Chicago, London, Berlin, Tokyo and Sydney, amongst many others! The most enjoyable of all of these was recently completing the Sydney Marathon with my daughter Niamh, who was running her first marathon. There is a great sense of community and running friendships within Armagh A.C.”

With 7 World Majors under his belt and two decades of running with the club, Bert is certainly well qualified to help you reach that finish line! 🙌

⏱️ Bert will be pacing the 1:40 group, holding a steady 10-minute-per-mile / 6:13-per-km pace.

🏃‍♂️ Meet Gary – our 1 hour 30 minute pacer! ⏱️
Gary has been a faithful member of Armagh Athletic Club for 8 years and has clocked up countless miles with us in this time.

His favourite type of running is road running, having completed numerous marathons and half marathons. He wears his Armagh vest with pride and says the highlight of every year is the Dublin Marathon. 🇮🇪🏅
In Gary’s words:
💬 “The atmosphere at the Dublin Marathon is absolutely unbelievable and makes all the training worthwhile.”

Gary will be pacing the 1:30 group, helping runners stay on target and get across the finish line in their goal time. 🙌

🏃‍♀️ Meet our 1:25 Pacer – Fiona Kearney! ⏱️
We’re delighted to introduce Fiona Kearney, our only female pacer and a proud member of Armagh Athletic Club for over 10 years!

A busy radiographer, wife, and mum to three sons, Fiona is passionate about road running and has been a familiar face on the roads for many years. She started running more regularly over 18 years ago after the birth of her youngest son, and hasn’t looked back since!

Fiona has completed hundreds of events across every distance, building strong connections, healthy rivalries and lifelong friendships with runners both near and far. 🏃‍♀️
Armagh A.C. has played a huge part in Fiona’s running journey, giving her the confidence and resilience to keep pushing herself and chasing her goals. It has also given her some truly special friendships, forged through tough training sessions, early morning miles and, of course, the infamous Monday Night Club (MNC)! 🙌

With 14 marathons under her belt, including Boston, London, Dublin and Belfast, Fiona’s proudest achievement was qualifying for the Boston Marathon and representing Armagh A.C. in America! 🏅
And perhaps unsurprisingly the marathon is Fiona’s favourite distance! 😍
“The training is tough, the distance is tougher, but the reward is worth every mile.”

The Armagh 10 Mile Road Race & 6k Fun Run 2026 was launched this week by members of the organising club Armagh Athletic Club and the race's great sponsors!

This iconic Armagh road race started way back in 1999 and since then has become a real staple for many local runners young and old, as a sharpener for the Dublin Marathon, a test of the winter training, a fun family or club event or as a challenge raising money for charity.

Whether it's 10 miles or 6k, starting and finishing at the Navan Centre & Fort allows all participants to imagine the ancient capital of Ulster, Eamhain Mhacha, in its heyday, and enjoy the beautiful autumnal views of the rolling Armagh countryside all around.

John has been a proud member of Armagh Athletic Club for 6 years and we’re delighted to see him take on the role of 1:20 Pacer!
John was encouraged to come along to the club by fellow pacer Fiona Kearney — and he’s certainly glad he listened! 🙌

“I’m at Monday Night Club every week, and it has really enhanced my running. The coaches are incredibly knowledgeable and the encouragement and friendly atmosphere from everyone is what makes Monday Night Club the highlight of my running week.”

Now John is ready to give something back by helping fellow runners achieve their 1:20 target over the 10-mile route.

🏃‍♂️ Meet our 1:15 Pacer – Ciaran Mallon! ⏱️

Ciaran Mallon has been a proud member of Armagh Athletic Club for the past 5 years and loves all things running, but if he had to pick a favourite distance it would definitely be the marathon! 🏅
He’s always up for a 10K or 5K too and enjoys the challenge of pushing himself and seeing what he can achieve.

For Ciaran, marathon season, and the training that comes with it, is a particular highlight. One of his proudest running moments was helping the club to 2nd place in the Belfast Marathon team event! He was also delighted to be named Most Improved Athlete in his first year with the club — a fantastic achievement! 👏
“I’ll keep running for as long as my body is able, because I enjoy it so much!”

Now Ciaran is ready to help others achieve their goals as our 1:15 pacer. His aim is to bring as many runners as possible across the finish line in 1 hour 15 minutes. 🎯

🏃‍♂️Meet our 1:10 Pacer – Fearghal Delaney! ⏱️

Fearghal Delaney, a longstanding member of Armagh Athletic Club since 2016, has raced across almost every discipline of the sport — track, road, cross country and mountain running — but his main focus has been on the longer distances, from 5K right through to the marathon.

Some of his favourite running memories have come from pulling on the Armagh A.C. vest and racing as part of a team. A particularly memorable year was 2024, when the club enjoyed championship success at the Ulster Half Marathon and Marathon Championships, as well as the All-Ireland Masters 5 Mile Championships. 🏆💙

Fearghal is a firm believer in racing for your club and being part of a team:
“It’s more fun and much more rewarding when you race as a team for your club!”
