Pristine FC headed out this morning to face Bromley Green in their final pre-season fixture ahead of next week’s Ted Revell Tournament.
A strong turnout allowed the coaching staff to test tactics and players in different positions.
Both teams started brightly, moving the ball well, but Pristine struck first when Carlum Macleod’s free-kick was met by Captain Karl Levett, who headed home to make it 1–0.
Iain Bremer was next on the scoresheet, calmly slotting home to extend the lead before Tyrone Calvely rose highest from a corner to make it 3–0.
Then came two absolute rockets from 30+ yards. 🚀 Carlum Macleod and Baz Ahmetaj both found the back of the net with stunning strikes to send Pristine into half-time 5–0 ahead. 💥
To their credit, Bromley Green came out for the second half with plenty of intent. They looked brighter and more fluid, their pressure eventually paid off as a good spell of play saw them pull one back and give themselves something to chase.
The game settled into an entertaining spell of end-to-end football, with both sides sharing possession and creating chances.
Pristine would have the final say, though, as some silky footwork from Egid Aydin opened up the opportunity for him to calmly finish and make it 6–1 before the final whistle.
A great final pre-season workout with plenty for the coaching staff to take away ahead of next week’s tournament.
Thanks to Bromley Green for hosting us, the game and the food afterwards. 👏
All the best for the season, lads!

🚨 MATCH POSTPONED 🚨
Unfortunately, our upcoming fixture against Simla FC has been POSTPONED.
🌧️ Or rather… the complete lack of it! ☀️🥵
The prolonged dry weather and current drought conditions have taken their toll on our opponents’ pitch, leaving the playing surface unplayable and forcing the fixture to be postponed.

❌ POSTPONED – Unplayable Pitch
Not quite how we wanted to start our next challenge, but we now look to next weeks friendly as we continue our pre season.

Another morning, another pre-season test and this time we had a full squad available!
We welcomed Stanhope who in typical pre season fashion arrived with a bare 11 squad.
From the first whistle Pristine looked sharp. Both teams moved the ball well early on, battling for that first big opening.
And it was Jordan King who provided the magic. 🪄
A bit of wizardry from Jordan, a cool finish past the makeshift Stanhope keeper and we were off and running! 1-0
Stanhope weren’t having any of it though. They broke through our midfield and got a shot away, with a deflection despite a hand from Brad Freund doing just enough to send the ball into the net. We were back level before the first water break.
But the boys weren’t finished when Carlum Macleod popped up to restore the lead before the floodgates opened.
The boys was relentless finding the net, with players from all over the pitch getting involved. The football was flowing, the legs were getting tested and, most importantly, the team was gelling.
By the time the next water break came around, we’d done enough to comfortably see the game out; and with both teams agreeing to call it there, it was job done. ✅
⚽ GOAL SCORERS

Late Facebook post due to issues with instagram link - Last Sunday the boys travelled to Smeeth for their second pre-season fixture against the newly formed Smeeth & Brabourne. With 3 last-minute dropouts thanks to the Farriers Beers Festival 🍻 we were left with just one substitute, not a great start to the day.
Both sides started brightly, looking to make an early impact, with chances at either end. It was Pristine who struck first when new signing Iain Bremer, calmly slotted home to open his account for the club.
Smeeth & Brabourne replied with intensity & pressure in search of a breakthrough. However, it only took one incisive pass to release Carlum MacLeod, who kept his composure to double our advantage.
With momentum in our favour, the boys pushed for a third with Tom Scamp delivering a perfect pass to Egid Aydin, who won a free-kick in a dangerous area. Carlum MacLeod stepped up, placed the ball down, and curled a superb free kick into the top-right corner to make it 3-0.
Smeeth & Brabourne did not let their heads drop responding with some slick passing, a lapse in concentration at the back allowed them to pull one back, as the 🐐 and ex Pristine player Matty Wright made it 3-1 at half-time.
Second half under way with the sun beating down on a pitch resembling the Sahara Desert, fatigue soon began to creep in. Fortunately for Smeeth & Brabourne, they had what felt like an endless list of substitutes to keep the intensity high, and they continued to pile on the pressure. The second half belonged largely to the hosts, who enjoyed the majority of possession forcing us to dig deep. Levi Loyza proved to be their standout performer, driving them forward at every opportunity and coming agonisingly close to reducing the deficit further.
Against the run of play, a neat passage of passing through the middle, Conner Freund teed up Emil Price. From around 40 yards, Emil produced an audacious lob over the goalkeeper to restore Pristine’s three-goal cushion at 4-1.
A few minutes before the final whistle, Levi Loyza finally got his reward with a well-placed finish to make it 4-2.
We wish Smeeth & Brabourne all the best for the upcoming season, they will be ones to watch.

Our first pre-season friendly 2 weeks ago was against former Lydd Town Sundays who have now reformed as Evans Athletic in tribute to a former team mate who sadly passed away.
First half underway and we started brightly playing some lovely football creating some well worked opportunities with Carlum Macleod unlucky not to score in the first half after some heroic saves from the Evans Athletic keeper and our MOM kept our opponents firmly in the game.
Second half - our opponents made some changes bringing on players from their large squad and made an instant impact with the sub getting straight on the scoresheet. Tragedy later struck as our opponents was awarded a penalty but the 🐈 Brad Freund saved the spot kick holding the deficit at 1-0. Sadly it wasn’t long until Evans increased their lead to 2-0. Some great positives to take from the game with the lads playing some great football and some fantastic strikes from Carlum Macleod we was unfortunate not to get on the score sheet. All the best to Evans Athletic and see you again when the season starts.
