Congratulations to all the junior boys and minis who completed the Saracens Rugby Camp on 13th and 14th April at Ashford RFC.
Emma Hardy from who organised the camp and Kieran Hopper who led the mini girls and boys were very complimentary about the players willingness to learn and attitude over the two days.
Any boys wanting to give rugby a try let us know via tinyurl.com/ARFCToucans

U13 Boys Warriors โ Sometimes a Friendly Isnโt a Friendly
Sometimes a friendly isnโt really a friendly. Not because of any edge, but because the opposition hasnโt seen the best of youโฆ yet.
We played Whitstable earlier in the season and, like Folkestone, it was a lesson. One the boys have taken on board and used to push themselves forward.
This was our final selection game of the season and a chance to show just how far theyโve come. A game that truly showed .
Two tries down early. Missing a few key players. A loud home crowd behind Whitstable. A few months ago, heads might have dropped. Not this time.
They went back to Coach Marcโs words: โgo harder with the game plan.โ And thatโs exactly what they did.
They stood up to some huge Whitstable ball carriers. They moved the ball with intent. Forwards and backs linking, offloading, backing each other up. And for a spell early in the second half, they played some unbelievable rugby.
Tries came and from all over the team.
Every one celebrated. But special mentions for Henry B and Brayden, brilliant moments.
A big shoutout to Will on his first junior appearance for Ashford. Carry after carry, tackle after tackle, he made an impact from the moment he stepped on the pitch.
But above all, this was a team performance. A proper marker of how far this group has come.
Next up: tour, then the Kent 7s.
Theyโve earned a strong finish to the season, and theyโre already building towards life as U14s.
